The Cottage Row

The name Cottage Row comes from a small town on Chesapeake Bay where my grandfather has lived for more than 80 years. One of the streets in the town is lined with nine simple but perfect cottage homes that were built almost as many years ago and known by locals as simply cottage row. The craftsmanship of the cottages and the hand-made furniture that filled each of the homes is something that is not easily found today. Up and down this tiny, quaint cottage lined street I would ride my bicycle during the summers of my childhood. Over the years and into the frantic pace of my adulthood, this “cottage row” came to symbolize a special time and a special spot where I could slow down and stop to enjoy my surroundings. I feel everyone should have a special place where they can get away from the world, relax, and be surrounded by a cozy and luxurious feeling.
