M2 Los Angeles Custom Furniture Manufacturing

As of this writing, please beware of this company. I hired M2LA to reupholster a sofa and to fabricate slip covers based on already existing slip covers. Mike was not clear about their policy where they demand all payment upfront. When I questioned him, he assured me that they stand by their work. I received my sofa which was done beautifully. However, my slip covers arrived and one of the covers is missing. In addition, the workmanship on the slipcovers is beyond sloppy and they used the wrong thread. The fabric for both the sofa and the slip covers are the same--grey and black weave. They used black thread for the sofa and a brownish rust color thread for the slip covers. As you can imagine, the thread on the slip covers looks ridiculous. I emailed repeatedly and also left numerous voice messages. It has been 6 days with no return email or call. As I paid in full (my mistake), I have no recourse other than to hope that they will make good on their promise. Although my sofa look beautiful, I wish I could leave zero stars because my slip covers are incomplete and look terrible. I will update if I hear from Mike.

STAY AWAY! Please do not do business with this company. They are fraudulent!! These other reviews are fake, and they should have zero stars. We purchased a sofa for over $3,000. Firstly, their "6-week delivery schedule" was actually 5 months (after they took our money. Then, when we finally received our sofa, it was categorically not the sofa we purchased. The design and style were wrong, as was the fabric (the fabric we chose was not even close to what they sent). The foam used is cheap and there are no supporting slats in the base (cheap!). The feet do not fit the base properly, and stick out over the edge. We wanted tufted buttons, which were misaligned, and a whole row completely missing. It looks utterly terrible. What was so infuriating was the complete lack of communication - as soon as they took the money, no one returned emails or phone calls. We supposedly dealt with "Richard" and "Ideelo" neither of whom ever returned our repeated requests for explanation (I have over 50 unanswered emails in my outbox). It was the most frustrating and upsetting service I have ever dealt with. Having received a terrible product, we immediately rejected the sofa, but all emails went unanswered. We were finally forced to launch a claim in the small claims court (in NYC). Whilst the claim is still technically pending, the company appears to frequently change its trading name to avoid all claims. It seems very unlikely we will ever see our money refunded. In the meantime, the awful quality sofa has fallen apart after only a few months, and my newborn baby picked out and chocked on the buttons. Stay away from doing business with this company. They are fraudulent and dishonest.

Very easy to work with! I sent a picture of an ottoman I had seen in a store and they were able to recreate the piece pretty closely. I get so many compliments on the cool, silver ottoman!

M2LA has the worst customer service I have ever experienced, no exaggeration. I'm a UCLA student and was trying to complete a project, a bed and chair, thinking it would be done with no hassle, boy was I wrong! To start off with they have the worst customer service, never answers their phone, returns messages, emails, etc. My bed was not made to my specifications and my chair was done in the wrong material. I would give them zero stars if it was possible.

I designed a large custom sectional for a client and was more than happy with the completed. It's super comfortable, high quality and exactly what I had drawn up in my rendering. They were also quick to respond to emails, and arranged the freight delivery. I highly recommend them, and will be using them again.

I bought a beautiful Ottoman from this company. I will admit the process was a bit longer than I wanted but like the owner said, the wait was worth it. The product is amazingly beautiful impeccable workmanship and fabric quality which I was initially scared about, was indeed on the high end side. I love my Ottoman and it has become the focal point of my living room.

We needed to find a reupholstered for our custom Faux croc sofa sectional..it was not the easiest to find a great reupholster..but we found one!!! M2 were amazing every step of the way..they gave us complete confidence in their ability to recreate our piece and they delivered!!! We are truly thrilled with the workmanship, quality of the fabric, attention to detail and the finished product..we love our new sofa! Communication and customer service are a high priority and M2 connected with us from the very first point of contact -- their professional attitude, care and concern for the client was evident and we felt extremely comfortable trusting the opinions and suggestions. Another highlight that definitely makes M2 a great find is the price point!! We recruited several quotes and nothing beat the price that we were quoted by M2. They provided us with the lowest quote around and we are convinced that we received the best customer service and reupholstery ever!! My last comment I promise!! Even after the delivery of our finished piece M2 have stayed in touch..that says a lot!

Finally! A custom furniture place in LA where you get your money's worth. I had to do a rush order on a custom sofa, and a wonderful gentleman by the name of Seedee helped me from beginning to end to get the job done. He made the impossible POSSIBLE! I went into the shop, chose the style, finalized dimensions, and picked the fabric, and Seedee always touched base with me to let me know how my sofa was coming along so I was never left in the dark once I placed my order. Once my sofa was delivered, I was in awe in how beautiful it turned out. From the tufting, to the piping, they builders and upholsterers did an amazing job. Way better than I expected and I cannot tell you how many compliments I get on my sofa! I would highly recommend M2LA if you're looking for amazing custom furniture pieces you want as a WOW factor in a room. And of course a plus is dealing with the professionals of the company who care that you're happy! I will definitely be back. Thank you Seedee!

I contracted M2 to build a custom tufted ottoman for my new home. It has exceeded my expectations, and the price was quite reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a custom piece.

M2LA did a great job! They were responsive to my inquiries and design criteria, received and used fabric that I sent to them, met budget, and delivered the daybed to me out-of-state. I would recommend them and look forward to working with them again.

We were looking for an extra deep sectional. Couldn't find them anywhere other then RH. M2 allowed us to chose our own fabric and built it to our exact custom dimensions at a great price. Couch looks excellent and pretty much puts you to sleep as soon as you lounge on it.
