We never intended to sell you a motorized bed. From the very beginning, all our communications have indicated motorized sofa and manual bed opening.
On one of the emails we sent you on July 16, 2017 prior to your purchase, we sent a link to a video https://vimeo.com/163792053 This video link clearly showed the motorized sofa with MANUAL opening for bed. On a subsequent email, we explained clearly that "The sofa can go down with a remote control". Again, We did NOT try to sell the concept of the motorized bed.
I wanted to clarify once again as it really wasn't our fault or intention to cause the confusion. After your placed the order for the wall bed in September 2017, the motorized bed opening / closing option became available for a deeper units (23.2"D) late October 2017. And that's for 23.2" deep units ONLY. However, the unit you ordered was 13"D, which doesn't have any motorized option even till today.
At the time of purchase in September 2017, we had no way to predict what will become available in the future.
The $5,000 we proposed to get a replacement truly is only the price difference to get a deeper unit with motorized mechanism. We were willing to eat the ocean freight and pertinent costs.
We are only human and we do make mistakes. It's just this was not one of them.
Early on we made the mistake misinforming you that you could use your own mattress for this bed. When we found out that was not possible, we absolutely offered you a mattress FREE of charge. We take ownership of all the messages we deliver to our clients very seriously. We have many satisfied and returning customers as you can see our five-star reviews from Houzz.
We exchanged about 200 emails from July 2017 to April 2018. So we actually DO have everything in writing. By no means were we trying to deceive you by communicating over the phone.
It truly is our intention to make our clients happy and in this case, we have really made every effort that we could. The simple fact is that, we did not try to deceive you. All our communications were clearly indicating the motorized sofa functionality, NOT bed. In addition, the motorized bed function wasn't even available for the unit you ordered till today. We were willing to absorb the ocean freight cost for you to get a replacement, even though it truly wasn't our fault. But you did not respond to the offer. Very sorry to see you feel this way. Please, if you'd like to still get the motorized bed, just let us know and we will make it happen for you.
