I love this store, there are so few like it in Burlington. The furniture and decor are always current and beautifully chosen. As a new mom it was easy to feel overwhelmed by the thought of planning rooms for my children - stylish bedroom furniture is expensive! I was looking for quality furniture that would last through to their adolescent years, but with twin boys I didn’t want to break the bank. My sister in law recommended IDH for their childrens furniture, and said it was a hidden gem. I was able to purchase two Canadian made wood bedroom sets for my boys for less than the cost of one at a well-known big box retailer. An added bonus was the IDH delivery team (thanks Dennis!) who set everything up for me while my husband was at work.

I was referred to Interior Design House by a friend, when I was starting to decorate my new home in Oakville. When I first approached IDH, I found a fairly industrial looking building that looked as if it was only open to designers. Appearances can be deceiving! Upon entering the store I found myself stepping into a design oasis. So much to see that it took me a few walks around to feel like I had seen everything. Friendly staff helped me from feeling overwhelmed or intimidated, and with their help we worked to find the best solutions for my living and dining spaces. IDH is now my first stop when I am looking for something special for my home, or a unique gift for a friend.

My experiences with Marnie Warman have spanned a period of nearly 25 years. She and her team have worked on two different homes (one twice) and each time, my husband and I were more than pleased. Her seemingly innate ability to conceptualize our vision and bring it to life with her polished good taste and high skill level have consistently resulted in our happy satisfaction. Subsequent visits to her store for new accessories or seasonal updates are always a pleasure as her sales staff are knowledgable and personable! When we moved out to Burlington from a condo in Toronto we had to put an entire house together. We've furnished most of our home from IDH over the past few years. When putting together our living room, we visited the store and picked out a sofa that we absolutely loved. Marnie and her associates pulled together an assortment of chairs, tables, lamps, art, and accessories that mixed in perfectly with our new sofa and with our existing furniture. They understood the aesthetic we were looking for, and created a stylish, comfortable space where we love to entertain. We've also had great success working with the designers to order in bedroom furniture, office furniture, and outdoor furniture from various suppliers. The absolute best, though, is the store done up for Christmas. Can't wait to see what's new this year!

We used Marnie’s services to help us furnish and decorate our new home. Although we initially filled our new home with furniture and pictures (including art) from our prior house, we soon concluded that the look which we loved in our prior home was not a fit in our new home. The project to replace our furniture and pictures/art seemed overwhelming to us. Marnie and her team handled it all for us, and showed us options that met our taste and preserved some of our favorite items. Marnie and her team also helped us design and build a much more attractive and functional kitchen island. It all seemed straight forward until we learned that there was no floor tile under the old island, and that no more tile of the required type was available. To solve the problem, Marnie’s team designed a border around the new island, in complimentary colors, resulting in a better look than if the desired floor tile had been available. We were very pleased with the advice and services of Marnie and her team.

Marnie has an eye for beauty, proportion, style and color like no one else I have ever worked with. If she tells you something will work, trust her. It will. She most recently helped us update the light fixtures in our home. Her suggestions were exactly what we were looking for, even though we really did not know what we were looking for. She is an absolute delight to work with and we are thrilled with the way our project turned out.

Returning home to live in Ontario after 20 years plus from living over seas meant almost starting over from scratch. My husband and I purchased a new home which needed to be completely furnished. We were faced with a daunting task. Marnie and Andrew from Interior Design House were the perfect choice for us to work with. The whole process from beginning to end was professionally and creatively handled for us by Marnie and Andrew. Firstly they visited our home to take in the space and get a feel for the character of our house. Marnie worked with me to understand my personal style preferences, and then together we selected the furnitue, accents, and accessories to create my dream home. I especially appreciated Marnie's willingness to actively listen to what I invisioned my home to look like and then to make suggestions and collaborate with me to create a sophisticated, beautiful, and casually elegant living space. Every last detail was flawlessly handled. Marnie, Andrew and their team came into my home to personally place every piece of furniture, hang pictures, and decorate my home to the highest standard. When my home was finished it was even more beautiful that I could have imagined. Marnie and Andrew I can't thank you enough. I love my new home and look forward to this new chapter in my life.

I represent a Canadian custom upholstery manufacturer and have known Marnie since the early 1990's when she had her first small location in Burlington. I have seen her grow her business over the years by offering so much more than the common furniture outlet. She will come into a clients home and completely furnish and decorate the entire home within the budget constraints laid out by the client and dazzle her clients with the end result. Because of her incredible talent my company collaborated with Marnie several years ago to create and design a completely new line that was very successful for us. Her ability to co-ordinate colour and textures with innovative styles enabled us to open doors at some of the most sophisticated retailers in the country.

My experiece with IDH was professional and for the most part stress free. Their in house designers were able to connect with my vision and find the pieces best suited to each room I especially liked the accent pieces they sourced for my grandsons room. My experience was positive and I would return for further decorating ideas and purchases.

re: Relationship of Design Home with IDH. Appointments are always kept. Very punctual. Marnie knows what she wants for her store. Her expectation of Design Home is that we will follow up with her on credit issues...which we do at all times. Also, orders need to arrive by delivery dates. What I see as a rep, is that the store is always clean, warm and a sense of being able to find what you want when you enter the store. Great variety of product and knowledgeable staff to help you make your decorating decisions.

I have sold Marnie a variety of furniture, lighting and wall decor companies for approx. 10 years. They are a mix of medium to high end companies and they all work cohesively together at Interior Design House. At IDH, they layer their assortment of products in the store to create a perfect "find" for your home. We strive to find product that is well styled, long lasting and has value. Interior Design House looks for those same elements and this has created a long lasting relationship.

We hired IDH to furnish the lower and upper foyer, living room, family room and dining room of our house. We had a very pleasant experience working with them. We strongly recommend IDH.
