Holleys Home Furnishings Inc

In 1949, at the age of 18, Austin Holley began work at Forbus Furniture in Alexander City, Alabama. After three years with Forbus Furniture, Austin spent two years serving in the United States Army. Austin returned to Alexander City in 1954 and went to work for a small furniture store named Home Furniture. Six years later, in 1960, Austin purchased half of the business. Austin continued working and growing the store and, in 1977, he purchased the retailer in full. It was at this time that Austin Holley renamed the establishment "Holley's Home Furnishings". Holley's Home Furnishings continued to thrive throughout the years, eventually outgrowing their location. In 1987, Austin Holley opened the current 23,000 square foot facility that Holley's Home Furnishings still operates from today. Austin's son, Ralph, now works in the 2nd generation, family-owned business continuing Holley's success built on superior quality service and selection. Holley's Home Furnishings has been voted "TPI's Favorite Furniture Store" in the Lake Martin area for 8 straight years!
