Flippin' Rustic Decor

This is a case of life imitating art. Juan and Veronica were like most couples buying a home in that they worked hard to get to that moment. After going through the long home buying process, they started on a new and exciting adventure of decorating their home without realizing what they were getting themselves into, and it was at that point that they realized that they had gift with power tools, saws and nail guns to combine stylish and creative pieces of furniture, and decor, that was enjoyable and beautiful to the eye. Avid animal lovers, they were intrigued by the planet with a passion for arts, crafts and design. Veronica developed her education going back to study Architect, but ended up getting a degree in Sustainability Management after falling in love with the subject. Veronica also has an A.S. degree in Architectural Design and Building Technology. One day Veronica told Juan that she was interested in starting a new business flipping furniture. So they started brainstorming business names until they came up with Flippin’ Rustic, and soon enough they opened an Etsy shop selling miscellaneous items, which then progressed into them building and selling wood signs, frames and flags. Eventually, people discovered the business and asked about flippin’ their furniture and making them custom pieces. A couple months later we found ourselves building tables, barn doors, and many other items, and couldn’t be happier. We’ve met so many great people during our journey and learned little by little what it is to be a business owner. Our style is rustic, distressed and unique. Every piece is different with a unique story behind the build. We try to pick the most unique pieces of reclaimed wood for our use. We love the character it gives, but we also work with other types of wood depending on the project.
