Eben Blaney

Welcome. I have been designing and building furniture and cabinetry for over 20 years most recently out of my newly constructed shop in Edgecomb, Maine. I have worked in a wide range of styles and species of woods and have worked for and collaborated with clients to create a broad array of custom projects from the simple to the complex. I've always enjoyed distinctive shapes and I work to compose unique combinations of them in my furniture, focusing a keen eye on proportion, detail, and, if a commission, relationship to the environment the piece will inhabit. My goal for each project is to combine both the highest degree of engineering and visual design with impeccable craftsmanship using the most beautiful and appropriate materials, whether that project be a freestanding furniture piece or a built-in home office.
