This company was founded by a gentleman by the name of Robert. I don't recall a last name, but I think he went by Rob when he helped me buy a sofa sometime back in 2014. At that time, Robert had approximately 32 years of furniture building experience. His knowledge and level of customer service was impressive! One could tell Robert was passionate about furniture and he will take the time to go over all the details of how they make their furniture and why they are special (True Eight-way hand-tied spring suspensions, true hand sewn tufting, Brompton Cocoa leather from the family owned tannery that originally created this type of leather in Italy, solid kiln dried wood, etc, etc). Their website has a lot of information and photos of the construction process as well. I recommended this company to a friend sometime after I got my sofa. He ended up purchasing a sofa from them and he said his experience was exactly as I had described! Fast forward 10 years to Feb 16, 2024... I'm sitting on my Maxwell model sofa which I recently moved into the living room from the family room. Originally, I had customized my Maxwell with three seats and T-back cushions. I chose the T-back cushions based on Robert's recommendations. He said it looks more finished (in his opinion), and it adds comfort behind the arm rest (yes it does). I've always been curious if the straight back cushions would have been as comfortable as the T-back cushions because I do like the minimalistic straight lines. I decided to call Casco Bay Furniture to inquire about having the back cushions modified. Robert picked up the phone (I didn't know who he was). A few minutes into our conversation, Robert said he remembers me, yikes! And once again, he talked me into staying with the T-back cushions because the cost of making the change isn't really worth it. We ended up talking a little bit longer about this and that... Casco Bay Furniture is a great small American company producing high quality hand made furniture which will last a lifetime. And their level of quality, detail, and customer service is unmatched. I highly recommend them! Robert, if you see this, it was a pleasure working with you on my sofa 10 years ago. It's been a pleasure sitting on my Maxwell sofa for the past 10 years. And I'm sure I'll feel the same 10 years from now. Thanks for making me a great sofa my friend!

We had a wonderful experience with Casco Bay. Our Madison Sofa in Brompton Cocoa is beautiful. The workmanship is top shelf. Kristina answered all our questions and was great to work with. Our expectations were truly exceeded. Delivery was easy. Thankfully our sofa arrived before we left for our vacation promised.

We love our new leather sofa from Casco Bay. We purchased the Kingsbridge tufted leather sofa in Echo Blue Marlin with small French Natural nail head trim. The sofa is absolutely stunning. The tailoring is exceptional. The tufts are deep and crisp. All in all we had a terrific experience with Casco Bay. Kristina was knowledgeable and very helpful in helping us to make our selection. The delivery came off without a hitch. We’re are looking for another sofa for our study and we will certainly look at Casco Bay again.

We LOVE our new sectional and ottoman! They are gorgeous and everything we were looking for. This is the Madison deep seat L sectional, Berkshire leather in chestnut. We went with the upgraded spring down cushions in medium as suggested by Kristine. The ottoman is 36”x48” in the same leather. The leather is incredibly SOFT and it has been comfortable to sit on since day one. I know it will only get better with time. My husband thought I was crazy to even WANT to buy a couch online without ever having sat on it. He had his doubts, but he’s completely happy with it. Thank you Casco Bay for a beautiful product!

I am loving this long sought after leather sofa. I researched quality, because this sofa is intended to last my lifetime. I was very particular in what I desired. My desires all came to fruition in the arrival of this beautiful piece. Accented with a vintage Hudson Bay blanket and western style pillows, this fits my lifestyle.

I had initially worked with a Restoration Hardware designer to fill out space. She chose the Maxwell sofa in this massive size. I think without shipping and tax it was around $16k. That was more than I was comfortable spending, I knew the size wouldn’t be cheap but that felt insane for a couch. I searched for months, there are a couple companies that make a Maxwell look-a-like but after looking at their fabrics and looking at reviews of how their couches wore over time, I just wasn’t crazy about them. I messaged back and forth with Kristina for a while on customizing the size of our sectional, the leather that would work best for us, and initially I wanted bench seating- which they are happy to do but explained why it’s not ideal long term. I LOVED being able to call Kristina on any given day and she would talk me through design elements and just any questions I had prior to ordering. I love the aspect of supporting a small business that makes the furniture in the US, don’t get me wrong I love RH but your sectional and products come from China or India. Kristina and Casco Bay were able to tell me exactly where each product came from in the US. While this sectional took almost 7 months to get here, Kristina was very forthcoming about that prior to me placing my order. I appreciated that she didn’t say “4-6 weeks” and sort of string me along. We opted for extra stuffed back cushions as we do use and abuse our couches, we have a dog, we aren’t just having it for display. I believe we also opted for the double wrapped or whatever it’s called seat cushions. The length is a custom size, the color is Berkshire Tan, it has more of a matte finish and I like how it wears over time. Cost wise I believe this was $9500, hope that’s ok for me to list price, as a consumer I wanted to know how this would compare to RH so this sectional was about half of what RH’s would be. The size is 9 feet on the short end and 11 feet on the long size. Casco bay confirms with you numerous times to make sure it’s the right direction and size. I think RH suggested a 12 foot couch but I knew I could fit a table on the end to fill in the space without the added cost. Hope this helps someone! Thanks Casco bay!

Purchased two Carlisle chairs in Brompton Cocoa. Both turned out absolutely stunning. Very comfortable from the beginning and are now starting to get some great patina. Kristina was very helpful and helped me design exactly what I wanted. Thanks Casco Bay!

I was a bit nervous about ordering a custom sofa online. However, Kristina was super helpful and put my mind at ease. We are thrilled with our new sofa! Now for the details about the sofa we purchased. We chose the Madison (108"W x 42"D x 35"H) and decided to go with 3 seat cushions (firm spring down). The firm spring down cushions are actually very comfortable and give a good amount of support for my bad back. I was worried that they might be hard, but I found them comparable to our medium firm hybrid mattress. We opted to go with 3 seat cushions so that we could swap them around. I tend to sit in the same spot and I was concerned about one spot showing more wear than the others. As for the color, we ended up going with Echo Fawn. Mont Blanc Sycamore was also on our short list. We received cuttings of both leathers and Kristina was patient and accommodating when we changed our minds. The 42” depth is perfect for our family. I think it would have been a little too deep for us if we had gone with 46” depth. To give you an idea of the 42” depth, I can comfortably sit criss-cross applesauce on our sofa and I am 5’7” tall. Kristina was helpful during the ordering process and I never felt like she was trying to push me into ordering something more expensive. I had a long list of questions and she was very knowledgeable. My order was split into 2 payments. I believe the first payment was ⅓ of the balance due and the remaining balance was due upon completion of the sofa. As far as the delivery and time frame goes, I finalized my order on Nov 7, 2021. The sofa was completed in February and we received our delivery in early March. I received emails updating me on the progress of our sofa and the delivery company was easy to work with and professional. Overall, I would highly recommend Casco Bay Furniture and I hope my review is helpful to others who are in search of the perfect sofa!

This company obviously knows the meaning of great customer service not to mention high quality, beautiful furniture. This is our fourth big purchase from them - we have recommended them to our family and friends who are equally as pleased.

The Casco Bay Manchester Sectional is absolutely beautiful !!!! The workmanship and quality are excellent. So far it is exceeding our expectations in every way and we are so thankful to have it arrive before the holidays. We cannot wait to curl up on it to watch movies or have some friends over to use it for entertaining. The Brompton leather in Wolf (Gray) is perfect. Just a stunning compliment to the colors and the room. It is 110x110x48 deep. We went with the deeper sofa for lounging and so glad we did. And its made right here in North Carolina.
