I engaged Alan Waldron Upholstery on 2 occasions and find that I cannot begin to express how happy I am with their work. After giving them a grubby $20 day bed, they returned a comfortable sprung piece that is now the perfect resting place. The second job was to fulfil my 20 year desire for the perfect club lounge. They were able to source my absurdly expensive 'must have' Highland Court fabric at almost half price and Geoff gave great design advice on contrast fabrics (we went with vinyl) in order to minimise the meterage required on the main fabric. They also recommended and worked with Andrew Roberts to recreate the wooden plates in walnut. During the rebuild they were able to put in a plinth to raise the seat level and sent photos at each stage of the work. Cost - on a par with all the (many) other quotes I sought. Turnaround - very quick as I caught them at during a rare, slow period. Value for money - excellent. Professionalism and service - excellent, good communication throughout process, offering advice on types of fabric and finishes suitable for everyday furniture. Personal satisfaction - my dreams are fulfilled; I still pause in the doorway, staring at the beauty that was created for me. I will be taking these works of art to the grave (especially since I had to increase my contents insurance)!!
