From the beginning, Steve Tingley immersed himself in the Central New York community. After graduating from the SUNY ESF landscape architecture program, Steve committed to contribute to his hometown’s economic growth and stability. Steve was great to work with. He was professional and worked hard to make our backyard look exactly how we envisioned. Throughout the project he communicated with us and made suggestions that made the final product a masterpiece. Also, Steve was very budget conscience making sure there were not any surprises in the end. Upon completion as we sat around our new fire pit, our 9 year-old-son said, “it was the best night he’s ever had in our back yard.” When we step outside now it’s like entering a fancy resort. My family highly recommends Steve and his crew.

We started off talking about rebuilding a patio and ended up with a beautiful new outdoor living space! His crew works hard, and are very professional. Can’t say enough.

Tingley Landscapes just completed a nearly 800 sq ft patio at our home that includes a fire pit, built in grill island, sitting wall, limestone stairs, and stone columns among other things. We COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with the finished product!! The craftsmanship. attention to detail and quality of work are truly second to none! This space is now the focal point of our home! In addition to the high quality of work, Steve and his team are professional, punctual and easy to work with. They take pride in their work, and always make sure that the customer is satisfied. As an example, we had several changes from the original plan during construction, and Steve always made sure that we understood and approved. Bottom line, our patio is AMAZING! As a homeowner, it can sometimes be difficult to find contractors that are professional, reliable and also do great work. Tingley Landscapes checks all the boxes! I would highly recommend Tingley Landscapes without hesitation to anyone who asks!

Our landscaping project was expertly handled. We had a few changes on the day of instillation and Steve was very accommodating. The installing team were very professional and courteous. We are very satisfied with our new landscaping.

Steve has done a number of projects for us over the years, including sidewalks, porches, landscaping, and water abatement, in two of our homes. Each time we have been extremely satisfied with the quality of his work. Our last project involved solving a challenging problem with standing water in our back yard. He devised and installed a drainage system, properly regraded and seeded the yard, and installed a delightful landscaping feature in the same area. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Steve listens carefully, studies the situation at hand, plans, communicates his plans well, and executes his plans to perfection. The work is done on time, within the stated budget, and with the least amount of disruption. We always enjoy having Steve work on our homes, and highly recommend him for any landscaping project that you may have.

Our experience with Steve Tingley Landscapes has been a very positive experience from the onset. Steve listened carefully to our initial ideas for the new patio and the new front walkway and 3-front step areas. He designed separate landscape drawings that captured our ideas. He made professional suggestions on plantings to complement the areas, considering our planting zone, weather, and house’s location. Later Steve answered all our emails regarding plantings with professional advice and alternatives. Care of plantings was also discussed. While, as expected, actual excavations and constructions were dusty and noisy each site was left neat, tidy, and safe at the end of every workday. Onsite machinery was carefully placed, secured, and locked. His team of workers were very courteous and worked a long day despite the heat and humidity, of the summer (2018). In fact, Steve worked alongside his team too. The results were stunning in both front and back work sites earning from us a 5-stars rating. Steve’s finished product has been admired by many in the neighborhood. In fact, we have hired him again for a third landscaping project. A & AK, CNY

My wife and I hired Tingley Landscapes to do some much overdo reworking of old, overgrown landscaping. The entire process was outstanding, and Steve was such a help with offering various design alternatives. What he came up with was something we never would have, based upon his many years of expertise and insight. Steve did an amazing job repairing my backyard and adding stairs after we removed our above ground pool and surrounding deck. . He was aware that we were on a timeline prior to selling our home and even found opportunities to work on the project over the winter! Plus he was diligent about sticking to our budget. You can either call around and try to find the least expensive landscape company to do your job, OR you can save yourself a lot of time and hassle and call Steve Tingley Landscaping. Steve will give you a fair price for the super high quality of work that he and his team provides... However, be aware that Steve is a perfectionist with several decades of experience with his craft, so whatever project you hire him for, it will likely end up being better than what you had envisioned. Seriously...stop wasting time and $ and call Steve to ensure high quality work for a fair price.

Steve Tingley Lanscapes has worked on three different projects for me. All three projects were completed in a timely manner and with no surprises. The first project was a 400 sq ft patio. I gave Steve the freedom to design and install the patio as he wished and I love it! The second project was a timber stairway and the third was a add on to an existing patio. Tingley Landscapes had the equipment and personnel to complete all three projects. I would highly recommend Steve Tingley Landscapes for any of your landscaping needs. Jim G.
