The Burkholder team managed the design and installation of a pergola, hardscaping and landscaping; recommending and coordinating with the Pergola company which installed it. One Burkholder project manager served as the point of contact for all of the work. Responsive, responsible ( recognizing and addressing one relatively minor design oversight) and flexible. My confidence in them was well justified.

ck to me, the other 2 were more interested in lawn mowing I decided to give Burkholder's a try. I contacted them through their website. They contacted me the same day and set up an estimatte appointment 2 days later. After going back and forth on plants and designs I gave the go ahead. They were up and running a week later and finished everything including a patio and electric lights and deck landing within 3 days. I thought they were amazing.

The Guys, were professional, hardworking and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, they started early and worked continually through. Although our yard was destroyed in places, they put everything back when they had finished.

We had an excellent experience with Burkholder Brothers. They removed our 30-year-old deck and replaced it with a patio. We hired Burkholder Brothers to design and build landscaping and hard-scaping at our new construction home. The planning and design process is amazing. We gave them some images and references that they turned into 3 outstanding designs for us to choose from - both as a flat plan and 3D render to see exactly how everything will look and feel. They then gave us pricing to build out one of the designs in a few phases so that we could budget accordingly. So far we've done the hard-scaping, and it looks amazing. The crew did a fantastic job - professional and detail oriented. No corners cut. Our front and rear patios are the envy of the new development! This spring we'll finish the landscaping plantings and turf. Can't recommend these guys enough.

Have been working with Burkholder Bros since Barry installed our pool 9 years ago and have never been disappointed. In addition to the pool, they have done large and small landscaping design projects for us. Everyone at the company that I have dealt with has been dependable, professional and demonstrated a true concern to make me happy. In a world where quality customer service barely exists anymore, I am happy to pay a little more to get excellent work done by a company that also provides an outstanding customer experience.

Our house is 30 years old and have always done the trimming and shrub plantings ourselves. Well we decided to have it done professionally this time. We interviewed 3 companies and decided on Burkholder. Marissa did the design layout, Barry the landscaping and Mark the lighting. From start to finish it was a pleasant experience. The installers were also knowledgeable and very friendly. This was a major investment for us and couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome.

I have dealt with many contractors over the years and in all of those interactions I have never dealt with a company with a higher level of ethics, sense of professionalism, powerful level of communication courtesy, and most importantly very responsive to malfunctions or problem areas we get into. We had, unfortunately two problems which occurred which were unfortunate and not related to the Burkholder company - - one was hitting a power line under ground during construction and second was some lighting failures a year after install. In both cases the Burkholders rose to the occasion to make certain everything was rectified perfectly and professionally!

Turned our backyard into a masterpiece! Practically every time we’re outside, we remark that we made the right choice about the landscaping, or the lights, or the plants, or… But you don’t get that kind of result from just luck or just any landscaper. The team at Burkholder had the experience to guide us to the right choices. As for getting the job done, we can say that this is the best contractor team that we’ve ever worked with. Everyone takes pride in their work, and it shows. From the grading to the finishing touches, everything is top-quality. Other contractors even said that the stonework was the best they have seen (we agree). Design: Stress-free and no regrets. Grading: Moved heaven and earth (well, they moved earth and made heaven in our yard). Plants: Beautiful. Stonework: Wow. Communication: Always kept us in the loop. No ghosting here. Results: A+ Burkholder was definitely the right choice for our backyard…and they will be for the front yard as well.

We LOVE this company and highly recommend them. We use them for routine lawn care as well as specialty/custom landscape design and installation. They're creative, honest, care about our property, and are prompt. Their work is of high quality and not the least expensive - for good reason.
