Kevin B and the team at Big Sky are great to work with and always get back to you quickly. Regardless if you need to speak with them for a quote, mid-project or as a follow up down the road. We have had Big Sky complete two projects for us over the past several years and I wouldn't recommend anyone else. Our last project was completed in March of 2014 Our overall landscape plan was prepared by an independent landscape architect. We did this to ensure our interests as the homeowners were kept front of mind. Our plans were rather elaborate and detailed to say the least. In the end we went with a phased approach and modified our plan to accommodate some last minute changes. After having contacted five companies in the local Portland\Beaverton area for bids and receiving only a total of four bids due to one company not following up. Big Sky was not the least expensive. However over the course of several weeks of going back and forth to finalize the bids. The team at Big Sky was always the most consist in getting back to me promptly. The others would take a day or two or a week to get back to me, one of them ended up taking a month. Our first project in 2013 consisted of leveling our backyard. This required a retaining wall to be built and then backfilled. Once the backyard was leveled we added grass, planting beds and a cedar chip area for our children's play structure. Our second project was the addition of hardscape, outdoor lighting, plantings and yard clean up. Big Sky used Belgard products for the hardscape area. Having had installed Belgard products in the past Kevin B mentioned purchasing their product via a vendor who carried Belgard stones from their California production plant. This was done due to coloration issues from Belard's NW product plant. The hardscape work took a total of seven days to complete. During this time the crew onsite prepared the area, removed an existing concrete landing for our staircase, added the correct material to support the hardscape then completed the product installation. Moi and his team are artists and very professional. Watching the Big Sky team freehand cut each perimeter stone using an electric cutting wheel was a bit nerve racking. However the end product came out perfectly, well almost perfectly. About a week after the installation was completed I noticed a variation in the stone's color. It was limited to what appeared to be the last batch of stones used in the installation. I called Kevin B with my concerns and as always he got back to me within a few hours of calling him. After coming out and looking they attempted to wash the stones with a solution to remove the fluoresces. Another week went by and it still didn't look right. Instead of fighting with me as other companies may have done. Big Sky contacted their vendor and had another batch of stones delivered from the correct Belgard plant and installed them. There was no additional costs to me and Big Sky simply took care of it. This is the kind of customer service you are paying for when working with Big Sky. As a consumer in the Portland\Beaverton area I found working with landscape companies to be nerve racking. Some no show you, others lack the needed team members to carry out all of the work professionally and others have their own products in mind when working with homeowners. Big Sky has struck the correct balance as a landscaping organization. Offer great customer service with their own team who can backup all of the work.

They were professional. Cleaned up area every day. Always showed up when said they would. Design is perfect. 2 other friends used them and were happy so we went with tem too. Photos are on houzz small yard, fireplace.
