We have hired Gail Melton twice to help us with design for our home. The first was for a complete kitchen remodel and to help coordinate new colors/furniture for our family room. We were so impressed and pleased with her work that we hired her again for a bathroom remodel and again, she didn't disappoint. We then hired her a third time when staging our home for sale. We really appreciated that she worked within our budget and was on time with her delivery of service. I would recommend Gail's services and expertise to anyone who needs design services, at all budget levels. We would hire her again if we still lived in the area without hesitation!

Gale has helped me on two projects. On my kitchen remodel, she helped me figure out the scope of the work, and where things could go, how things could be arranged, then she helped me find the right cabinet maker, and made excellent plan drawings for the cabinet guys and the contractor to work with, in order to achieve a seamless install and finished product. She also helped me source the right products to finish out the kitchen for maximum efficiency. More recently, she helped me remodel a bathroom in our new house. She was able to make excellent suggestions as to what was possible and what was not, and to help me with the choice of fixtures, make detailed drawings, both for the bathroom layout and for the tile plan. Gale has all the knowledge you need if you want a professional to help you get your project figured out, source the right fixtures, supplies and service providers, make excellent plan drawings to help the space planning and installation be seamless, and generally field questions about random parts of the project (like "what vent fan should I use?" or "which light fixture would you recommend in this application?") Gale is a first rate and very experienced interior designer. She understands the history of design as well as the different trends in contemporary design very well, and her view point is very informed. I respect her eye. She brings many talents to the table, making her an excellent designer for any job where you want your finished product to be well-designed AND for it to stand the test of time. Her involvement can go from drawings only, all the way to selecting and suggesting, or even sourcing, and facilitating the purchase of the fixtures, cabinets, lights, furniture, etc. I will continue to use Gale Melton for future work. We'll be remodeling our kitchen (in our new house) in a few years, and she'll definitely be involved in helping me figure out where to start, all the way to what the finished product will look like.

After doing a sizable remodel of our home, we hired Gale as our color consultant. Although we pride ourselves as having a decent sense of color, we felt that, given how much we had spent on redoing our home, why skimp on the final mile? It's sort of like baking this great cake and deciding that the outer frosting didn't matter as much -- but it's really the first thing people see. So after some consultation with Gale, she provided us some color options. In the end, the color scheme we decided on was better than we had expected. She picked out colors we wouldn't have naturally turned to -- and they were perfect. Really. The colors gave each room an identity, and transitioned between spaces in a very aesthetically pleasing way. She also recommended the stain for our floors -- again, she picked something we wouldn't have initially gravitated toward, but trusting her, we went with it and have zero regrets. We would use her again in a heartbeat. She also picked our exterior color, and to this day, strangers walking by our house will pay us compliments. She's a pro, easy to work with, no pressure, flexible. And most importantly, she has a great eye. And we're fairly picky.

We worked closely with Gale for almost a year, on a major renovation of our home. Her assistance was immensely helpful to us. To begin with, she did an excellent job of getting to know us and our tastes, and was quickly able to help us decide on various finishes, fixtures, paint colors, etc. She is very good at rendering designs, which helped us visualize how our choices would look in our finished home. She drew plans to communicate to the contractor just how tile should be laid, lights placed, etc. She works quickly, resonds to email and phone calls promptly, and is organized and professional. Most important to us is that she was very good at helping us articulate and realize OUR vision for our home, as opposed to some others we briefly worked with who just seemed to want to impose their preferences on us. Also, she made working through all the choices feel manageable to us. In short, she's terrific and we're very glad she was there during our renovation.

Gail worked with us on a major kitchen remodel. Walls were removed, a bathroom was relocated and a beautiful kitchen was created. We have a stunning kitchen that is highly functional and is the center of our life. She was easy to work with and came up with great solutions to best utilize the space we have. Our experience working with Gale was great. We did a remodel of our house and used Gale as color consultant. She was easy to work with and has good vision for color and design. We thought we had a vision for the paint colors on the exterior of our house but through Gale's suggestions and ideas we found our vision change and grow into something completely different and so much better. On the interior color choices we had no vision or ideas, only that we wanted color and to get away from white. Gale helped us discovered a vision for each room in our house and then pulled the whole house together by adding the same ceiling color and the same trim color throughout the house. We were amazed at how different the same color could be from room to room. Gale also helped us match tile color in our kitchen and pick fabric and design of all our window coverings. Again Gale helped pull everything together to make each room in our house awesome.

I was hired to renovate a very raw commercial space to turn it into a restaurant. I had worked with Gale on a previous smaller residential job and got the restaurant owner to hire her as designer for this new commercial space. She was extremely easy to work with because of her knowledge of the city/county codes for commercial space in a residential neighborhood and her excellent understanding of the construction process. She was always available to trouble-shoot and figure out solutions to the vast county requirements and was of great benefit in helping us complete and open this restaurant. From what I saw of her interactions with the owners, her suggestions and plans for the finish/design end of the project were sensible and attractive, and the owner was happy with Gale on our team.
