Terrible company to deal with. High shipping fees and high return fees. Also when site says “in stock” that does not mean what you think it means. In our first and last purchase with this company all items were “in stock” but we then received 3 separate boxes over a week and a half period. Each shipment said the other items were on back order.
I hope someone reads this and avoids this company.

The item arrived, but did not work, so I returned immediately. It took over a month for them to process my refund and when finally processed they did not refund me the full amount I paid. I would not order from Shades of Light again.

I purchased a silver tone classic cut corner mirror from Shades of Light. It was a piece of garbage. The frame was plastic and the finish came off immediately when handled. I ended up having my painter repaint the frame. I would have sent it back but the size was included in the plan for my bathroom remodel.

Received two bent/broken lights but I fixed one myself. Ordered a replacement for the other one that I couldn’t fix and it still hasn’t shipped. Plus I still don’t have a refund for the light that came unusable. Would not buy from them again.

UPDATE: A big thank you to Leanne Y from Shades of Light. She contacted the vendor and found me a light so we could finish our project. I really appreciate her effort in getting this done for me.
I can only update to 3 starts due to my customer service experience with Whitney. She made me feel like another number. I felt my experience with her was very cold and inconsiderate.
I ordered three of these lights (SKU BS16030 BZ - INDUSTRIAL BOLTED TUBE BATH LIGHT) on 03/21/2022. When they came, one of the lights was damaged. I was told that a replacement would be sent on 09/08/2022 so I had the other two lights installed. Now, the project is complete and I am still missing the one light. It got pushed back to 10/26/2022, and then, 11/21/2022. Now, I receive an email that says it will not be here until 04/20/2023 which is over a year from my first order. This is unacceptable. I would not have gone with this light if I would have known that they could not get all three to me in a timely manner.

They just charge more for lights that you can buy at other places and give them a new name so you can't search and find them online.

Can't say enough about the help I received. I purchased a very expensive mirror and after a period of time, the mirror developed a crack that eventually ran all the way across ruining the mirror. I worked with Grady at Shades of Light and he worked with the Manufacturer to get me a new mirror at no charge. They did not have any obligation to do this as it was well outside of warranty. I appreciate the professionalism and efforts of Grady and his team in taking care of me. They have a lifetime loyal customer

Excellent Company with terrific employees! I have entrusted them to restore many antique heirlooms to my satisfaction over the last 10 years or more. When ordering we were told to expect some supply chain issues which is to be expected these days during the pandemi
I must say how terribly rude people are to expect unreasonable service from Shades of Light. MANY of these reviews are childish ,
demanding and totally unfair!
Be sure to take them with a grain of salt as you consider the dates written.

BEWARE—HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and NO QUALITY CONTROL. Do not waste your time. This company has horrible customer service. I ordered a light fixture 2.5 months ago, and I’m still dealing with the fallout. The fixture I received had a clear defect. I contacted customer service to return the defective fixture and have another one sent. Just to get the return label to send back the original fixture, I had to follow up multiple times—despite emails from Shades of Light indicating I would be charged if I did not return the fixture in a timely manner. I received a second fixture—it had the SAME defect. I then went through the time consuming process of yet again swapping the fixture for a THIRD fixture. This required multiple follow up and time spent by me. A third fixture was sent, which was also defective. Even more disappointing is that each fixture had a hand-signed inspection tag with the name of the individual that inspected the fixture. After this third, defective light fixture, I requested a full refund. I had to follow up numerous times to complete this process. I had to stay on them to indicate that all the fixtures had been timely returned by me. I had to request a refrains multiple times. My refund was not actually processed until I contacted them to complain that my fixtures had been received and weeks had passed. At this point and considering the months I had been dealing with Shades of Light and their total lack of quality control, I asked that the FULL price of my order be refunded, including the $50 shipping. I was simply told “we don’t refund shipping.” No apology for my experience or Shades of Light’s mistakes and poor quality control. I have requested to speak to a supervisor, and I have not received a response. It is clear their customer service could care less if you are satisfied, even when the mistake is on the company. I will never again order from this company.

I would love to give five stars because the light fixture I purchased (cut corner shade ceiling light) is absolutely gorgeous, good quality and the communication and timeliness of shipping was outstanding. Literally the only issue was the fixture hardware color - it says it’s cream but is actually a pale yellow. Would love to see them fix the paint code they are using on this particular item and I would buy tons of these!

We recently ordered light fixtures for both bathrooms. We received them within a week. they were well packed and even more beautiful than the picture on line. The quality was excellent for the price and I will highly recommend Shades of Light to my family and friends.

Beware. I ordered a fixture in May. Item was in stock but immediately after purchase was told it was back ordered. I have sine recieved 4 more emails pushing back the date and now it's been 5 months and just recieved another email today pushing back another month. Either this company is just guessing at dates or they have no clue what their vendors are doing. I have purchased a lot in the past but I'm done with this company.
