My Story My name is Amy Barrow and I am the owner and lead staging consultant of Tiger Eye Staging and Redesign, LLC. My staging career evolved as a natural progression combining two of my passions - real estate and design. I've been in the real estate business since 2004. I worked as a full-time agent for several years until my daughter was born and when the market crashed shortly thereafter, my husband and I began buying distressed and short sale properties. I renovated these houses which now serve as profitable income properties. I know and understand the real estate business from many different aspects – buying, selling, investing, renovating, marketing and staging. It was through the sale of a couple of properties that my passion for staging was born. It is a fact that a staged property will sell faster than an un-staged property, especially in today's competitive market. I love furniture, art, and accessories, so staging is a wonderful outlet for me to shop, plan, organize, and design in other people's homes - it makes my husband happy too. All kidding aside, my goal is to stage your home so that it attracts the most buyers and sells in the least amount of time. Why Tiger Eye? I have loved tigers for as long as I can remember. As a child growing up in Michigan, the Detroit Tigers were my favorite sports team so the "Big Cat" has always been my favorite animal. When deciding upon a name for my business, I came across a fun article about tigers eye gemstones being good Feng Shui in a house. Placement near the front door, in a child's room, or in a home office provides protection and clarity and can attract good luck. And sometimes, luck and selling a house go hand in hand.
