I have previously reviewed Mary and found working with her easy. The reality is when the going gets a bit difficult, the real personality traits become visible. Mary handled a full interior project for us, once the things are finalised the process she follows is you pay -> she'll get things -> they get delivered to her warehouse (for which we pay delivery) and then they get delivered to your place (and you pay delivery and installation). We swapped 1 thing for which she was supposed to process refund (4 months back) and then she asked us to pay advance for a coffee table in April, which was supposed to arrive by July and we continue to wait but there's no coffee table in site. We've now requested for refund of advance and even though we've heard multiple promised refund dates and confirmation that refund is 'just getting processed', there's no money transferred till date. In her care a piece for dining table was broken, she continues to promise (5 months now) that it'll be delivered but neither the piece has arrived nor money that was already paid for. After chasing daily now for almost a month, the response is adhoc answer to calls, no response to messages. What a terrible way to end a project that could have been a real success story, these are not huge amounts vs the overall project spend but we've needed to chase up daily and each time we are getting an excuse / a lie / an off-handish remark with no consideration of our money / wasted time. A word of caution - IF you decide to pay in advance, definitely don't expect refunds - you may or may not get what you paid for, but you'll never see the money back.

It is so sad to hear your frustration regarding some issues that have occurred as a result of Covid-19 and external suppliers.
We take extreme pride in our work and always go above and beyond for our valued clients, as evident in your previous highly positive review that you left a few months ago when your project was near completion. and my 100% satisfaction in the last 646 projects that we have completed!
We are a team of designers who professionally approached your project, took the right design brief and created a relevant mood boards for the right style of your whole three-bedroom apartment. We then sourced all the furniture and accessories upon your confirmation on all 45 items for you and we installed the whole project meaning you turned the key to a new, beautiful and luxurious home as you wished!
There were many times that you changed your mind after confirmed processes or added things that were not in our agreement, of which I still did them for you and did not mention the challenges that followed your sudden change of mind or requests, since I wanted you to enjoy your new beautiful house with no stress, of which you did.( and that's the most important outcome for us.)
There are circumstances recently that occurred which were beyond our control.
Given the global pandemic, there have been and still are very lengthy shipping times on shipments to Australia which you and I did discuss. In regards to your coffee table, I communicated to you that the supplier estimated it would arrive in Australia by the end of July/August and I had provided another two options (given the lengthy estimated wait time) but you wanted the coffee table and wished to wait for it.
While I did facilitate this order on your behalf, the deposit was one to the supplier and not to my business. When your circumstances suddenly changed and you no longer wished to proceed with the already placed order I liaised many times with the supplier to try and have your deposit returned to which the supplier said they might and finally after two weeks of calling and talking to different managers over 2 weeks,they denied this request and advised that the table had already been ordered and was on its way so returning the deposit was not possible and that the item was scheduled to arrive in another 2 weeks, this I also communicated with you.
Understanding that you had a sudden change in your plan for not wanting the table, I did offer a few alternative solutions (that would put me out) as I wanted to assist you in any way I could.
Throughout our working relationship, my team has made many efforts to assist you, including being lenient when we were unable to process your payment in full according to the scheduled date and not stressing you over the unpaid invoices which are outstanding for weeks now, giving you enough time to sort them out.
We are the same client focused and hard-working team that you previously spoke very highly of with a beautiful review and we hope you continue enjoying the beautiful space we created for you. As we have been in regular contact, you can get back in touch if you wish to discuss this matter further. We are always here to help you.

My client has suggested a designer called Mary to refurbish and style the house. Out of all the designers I inquired I noticed she seemed the most knowledgeable and experienced. So far all my friends and family members have loved her and her work. I would recommend her 100%.

Mary exceptionally pulled together a full 0-100% design, purchase, setup and style for my new place. I had no furniture, and 6 weeks to move into a new place, with my 2 kids. She systematically went through the brief, taking a close note of what we'd like to possibly see and 6 weeks later translated it into a beautifully designed place we've loved living in from the 1st day. She worked off the budget I gave and worked incredibly hard to get the best deals on every piece she bought, while providing multiple options and honing into the final option that we just loved. There is a personal touch that Mary puts to her work and her recommendations always come through. Highly recommended!

Mary and her team did a simply spectacular job of styling my two-bedroom apartment in Epping in readiness for sale. She literally transformed it from being a standard unit into being a ‘feast for the eyes’ creating an emotional impact from the moment you open the front door.
