The perfect kitchen! From initial concept, through detailed design (and many changes), to build and installation, I cannot rate Chris and his team highly enough. Chris' knowledge and advice was critical as we came to final design choices from both a practical and aesthetic perspective, and his team of craftsmen have put together our perfect kitchen. Real attention to detail, skilled execution and cleanliness were hallmarks of the project and the communication from Chris through the difficulties of the COVID pandemic was excellent. Deciding on a new kitchen in the middle of Covid-19 lockdown and Brexit is not for the fainthearted, but Chris was brilliant throughout. He kept us up to date with developments and even though we had a small unavoidable delay, his forward planning and mitigation strategies kept it to an absolute minimum. He answered every query promptly and helped us through the different options available. His design suggestions were great and he managed to understand what we wanted and more importantly needed, even though my starting point was just "I want a new kitchen....." His suggestions come from years of experience of what works well in a kitchen. Chris managed the entire project efficiently and its hard to imagine how it could have gone more smoothly. Every detail was attended to and we are delighted with the quality of the kitchen. We now have a much more efficient use of the kitchen space and worktops. Plus we can actually find things in the cupboards now. Finally, Chris understood that the first five minutes of each workday had been reserved by our dog for pats and cuddles. Top marks.

I love my 'Chris Chapman' kitchen. Chris was quick to understand what my vision was and worked with me to create a stunning and remarkably functionable kitchen with the wow factor. His attention to detail and passion for his craftsmanship is second to none. A new build with an oak frame posed many interesting conundrums but nothing seemed to faze Chris. He put hours into the actual fitting and measured and re-measured so that everything is a perfect fit, often pointing out errors which needed correcting from other trade's work. With a pre-set build and installation cost, the extra time which Chris put into making my kitchen perfect was borne by him and Steph not by myself. Whenever he left site, the kitchen area was left immaculate. He was knowledgeable and helpful in selecting appliances and took all the pressure away about having to make so many decisions. I would happily recommend Chris to anyone looking for top class craftsmanship.

We are absolutely delighted with the work carried out on our studio apartment by Chris and his team. Chris really understood what we were trying to achieve and we enjoyed our collaboration with him. We found Chris easy to communicate with and he was prompt and responsive in answering any queries. We have carried out renovation projects before and this has undoubtedly been our best experience.

We love the kitchen that Chris designed for us. He has many years of experience in kitchen design, planning and fitting which meant he was able to ascertain quickly what we needed from our room and asked helpful questions which guided our thinking and made the whole planning experience a relatively smooth one. Chris oversaw the whole project. Introducing all subcontractors by name and checking at the end of each stage that we were happy with the way things were progressing. He has great attention to detail and checked all measurements several times to ensure everything fitted, so therefore there were no last-minute hitches. Having agreed that we wished to go ahead, an initial deposit was required, and a spreadsheet constructed which meant we knew what we had to pay and when. This payment by instalments is not something which happens with all kitchen companies. A time scale was sent early on and Chris informed us of how things were progressing. No mean feat when you consider we have been through a pandemic and Brexit uncertainties. There were small tweaks that were required as the work progressed. Chris listened carefully to our queries and offered helpful advice when asked e.g., the site of lights, number of shelves, power points etc. Great care was taken of our home and at the end of each day the kitchen was always left tidy and as clean as was possible within a construction situation. Also, Chris often worked late to ensure the project kept within its time frame. It is good to see a craftsman in action. The black walnut used for the island worktop is a beautiful piece of wood. We were shown photos of it being made in the workshop and there was a feeling of immense pride in its construction which was clear when both Chris and his craftsmen spoke about it. One thing you get from this company is bespoke design. My husband loves his new hi-fi cabinets which fit snugly against one wall. Instead of being a necessary practicality they are now a design feature. Ditto our beautiful dresser which turned out to be on a very uneven wall. No problem for this company who had the problem dealt with in hours leaving us with a perfectly aligned dresser. As you can see from the photos the result was stunning and we are in no doubt that we have chosen the right company for the job. It is everything on our wish list and beyond. Pete & Lesley

Chris and his team designed and installed a new utility room for us, including a unique 'feature' seat. Right from the start we could see the quality in his design and approach. Lots of attention to detail, great ideas and innovation. Great linkage between design and understanding the build and installation. We had good communication throughout and we always knew where we were, we even had pictures of the progress from his workshop (which we really liked). The quality of the build and installation was excellent. Chris has a quality team around him, including the plumbers and electricians. Chris has amazing customer focus. Nothing is too much trouble and he helps you make the right decisions without making the decision for you. Unlike many contractors, Chris started when he said he would and finished when he said he would. We would not hesitate to recommend Chris.

Chris has built two kitchens for our holiday lets and the results are fantastic. Chris spent time to really understand what we were looking for and needed and made it work for our budget. Chris & his team did a really good job of design and fitting of our bespoke display units each side of a chimney breast. Integral LED lighting works really well and was a great idea.

From the outset of dealing with Chris he has been totally professional and upfront in all matters. He visited our home to carry out a survey of our original kitchen, meticulously taking measurements. Within a few days he provided us with a comprehensive quote and design listing all items that would be invoiced. . He produced a selection of good quality 3D CAD drawings showing the design of the kitchen. Throughout the process Chris was in regular contact, giving us progress updates, (bearing in mind we were dealing with the Corona 19 virus at the time ). We visited the workshop to view our cabinets and to agree on the paint colours that we had chosen. Prior to the installation we had our electrical and plumbing works installed by a contractor recommended by Chris, and he project managed this for us whilst we were away. During the installation Chris and his fitters arrived on time cleaning up as they went along and were very professional in their workmanship and eye for detail and all with a very pleasant manner. We are extremely happy with the final outcome of our lovely bespoke kitchen, and would have no hesitation in recommending Chris Chapman to others, it was a pleasure doing business with him.

Given our design and storage requirements for the bookcase, wardrobe and other smaller items for our home, Chris and his team of craftsmen produced exactly what we hoped for. Although the overall project took a little longer than anticipated, the construction was precise and the sprayed finish in our chosen colour was superb. Chris runs a fantastic operation. He is extremely professional and makes everything easy from the beginning. His bathroom design was excellent but the final version was even better. We gave him full discretion to alter some of the details, all of which enhanced the bathroom. What particularly impresses is the attention to detail - touches like adjusting the position of the shower head and taps so we wouldn't get wet when turning them on - and the perfect finish. The great thing, too, is that he leaves everything in a great state at the end. There are few builders who you can happily leave to just get on with a job unsupervised. Chris is a very rare breed. Chris and his team are an absolute pleasure to work with. They designed and built a set of display cupboards, with a hidden work station in one corner, to fit floor to ceiling along the whole wall in our dining room. From first meeting Chris at the showroom, throughout the design process, installation, billing and hand back the service has been excellent. Chris worked on a project for us to build a bespoke island for our new kitchen. We had some quite specific design requirements and we were losing hope on being able to realise them when we were introduced to Chris. Chris is creative, practical and knowledgeable, and was a pleasure to work with. He landed up advising on far more than just our new island!

Chris's approach was extremely professional and his design ideas were by far the most creative of the alternative suppliers we considered. The work carried out by the team that he coordinated and managed was of an extremely high standard and his advice throughout the build and installation phases was much appreciated. We were looking for a top quality new kitchen - the fact that we got that and decided to use Chris and the team for a master bedroom suite and new family bathroom tells you all you need to know about how highly we rate him.

Chris Chapman did a great job. Our 16th century cottage was badly damaged by a winter’s burst pipe. Chris Chspman helped us through the difficult task of renovation: fitting a new kitchen, rewiring, replacing wooden floors, and replastering walls and ceilings. Chris advised us throughout achieving the right balance between conserving the old and introducing the new. His team were courteous and friendly and delivered a very high standard of workmanship.

Six months later and we’re still delighted. Chris Chapman is very good at going through the possibilities and understands very quickly the sort of work we wanted. Chris designed the larder, sourced the fridge and storage unit, installed it perfectly with a high quality paint finish, all concealed behind a stylish shaker style door. it was great to work with someone who interpreted our needs exactly and completed the project to the highest standards in a very professional manner. I️ could not recommend Chris highly enough. He has transformed our experience of builders and building work. We’ve now had two bespoke kitchens designed, fitted and perfected by Chris and his small team (as well as some other unrelated work). It was a pleasant experience from the start. His showroom is a (dangerous) delight to look round but his real skill lies in his ability to transform conventional, or - as in the case of our London home - awkward spaces alike into perfectly formed, practical and aesthetically pleasing kitchens. Importantly, the final kitchen will, if anything, be better than the CAD design that he will first show you. The reason for this is simple: Chris is a perfectionist who will make sure that the work is finished to the highest standard, without a milimetre of wasted space. There will be many ‘Chris’ touches revealing his experience and careful consideration of how the kitchen will be used. It’s also (almost) pleasant to have him and his team in the house (he’s good company)! His design, and finish, of our London kitchen has left us with a room that feels bigger, looks fantastic and is a pleasure to be in. If you want to guarantee a brilliant kitchen (or any building work that you want him to do for that matter) instruct Chris.

Long project with a number of phases in the renovation of a c5000 sq ft Georgian house with outbuildings: helped to create a lived-in feeling through the decoration, reclaimed flooring, other renovations; excellent attention to detail, responsive at all times, cooperated well with interior designer.

I have worked with Chris and his team on various projects and I could not fault him- always professional, polite and on time- I have never found a builder that trustworthy and committed to detail as Chris! Project was conversion of two storey commercial store, in poor condition, into a 2 storey dwelling. (Grade II listed) All work was carried out in very professional manner, great attention paid to detail and use of correct materials. Workforce were craftsmen, skilled in working on old buildings. All waste materials were removed promptly and the site maintained in an orderly fashion. Quotation for the work was not the dearest, was very detailed, and warned of possible areas where additional costs might be incurred. Some additional costs and time were incurred due to problems revealed as work progressed, and wet weather delayed external work, (roof, walls & windows). We have now been resident for 19 months, and the only problem has been one external light fitting which failed. This was promptly renewed. I recommend this company 100%

I have used Chris Chapman several times. He is the only builder I would use! The last project was a complete overhaul of the downstairs of my house including a new hand cast concrete kitchen, re wiring, extensive building works, all the trades were needed and used. Chris has an excellent team and is always on time and budget. I can't say that for many builders!! And the quality and precision of the work is in the highest order.

Great Bathroom result! Knocked two small bathrooms into one large family bathroom and it made a huge difference to the house. Chris and his team worked professionally and quickly and the end result is a lovely space to be in - looks like a boutique hotel! Great customer service, nothing is too much bother for him, and he is fastidiously tidy - no mess at any stage of the job. I can't recommend him enough.
