Stainless Cable & Railing Inc. specializes in manufacturing and supplying stainless steel cable railing systems. We offer Marine Grade Stainless Steel cable rope and end fittings, in addition to posts, top rails, and other frame components. Our signature line is aluminum, which comes in five colors and boasts a unique interior webbing and wall thickness to increase resilience. I replaced a wood rail with the stainless cable & aluminum posts. I sent SCR a schematic of my deck with what I wanted and they put together what I needed. I had everything I needed and installed it myself (with help from the boyfriend ;). My deck is over 50', two levels, and lots of angles. I was very happy with the instructions and how the system went together. I LOVE MY RAILING!! I ran out of (ok, lost) some parts and it was easy to order what I needed - they even threw in a couple of freebies. Great experience and I would/do recommend them to everyone!

I live in Scotland and recently completed a hardwood deck with stainless wire balustrade. I decided it would look a lot more aesthetically pleasing if the holes in the newel posts had stainless steel hole protectors/trim.
The items I envisaged were not available in the UK but after a global search I found exactly what I needed in Canada, courtesy of Stainless Cable and Railing.
Ordering and payment was straightforward and delivery across half the world surprisingly quick.
Despite the unreasonable UK customs charge the protectors were good value and look the part. I would recommend this company. Steve.

After scanning several sites I recently placed an order with SCR then received a call a few days later.
They said their web site made a mistake on shipping. After making adjustments they made a extra charge on my credit card with out my approval. When I received the order they sent galvanized bolts instead of stainless, steel post instead of aluminum as it clearly says on my receipt. I would suggest placing your order with another company.

recently the coast guard mandated some modifications to the specifications for railings on charter boats for sightseeing/cruising (not fishing) that required 4" spacing.
before i started work on our project, like most people i did some diligent research into companies dealing in the type of product we were looking for. the web site for Stainless Cable & Railing, Inc. was excellent, easy to navigate, and very informative. they had the best selection and pricing and when i made contact with them they were very helpful and accommodating. because of time constraints and because they were close enough i decided to pick up the product and tools (swage press and cable cutter) at their shop. when i arrived our package was ready and i was treated very professionally.

I was tackling an unconventional project and found a couple photos on the web site of a similar approach. The web site is very clear about what parts are needed and what tools are needed. They even sent more detailed directions with the order. It arrived promptly.
I had no trouble with the project and the swagging was easier than I thought it would be. My project looks great and compliments the deck and preserves the view. The visitors can't stop talking about the deck, railing and view.

Based on their website I sent them the drawing of my 2nd story deck. They came up with the parts including a small gate I needed to access a nearby flat roof and skylight. All parts arrived as promised and everything was needed for me to complete the install. They also suggested a cripper, although I already had one. They said this had the right size die for the turnbuckles. Turned out they were right and I was glad they sent it. They only surprise, not due to them, was the effort to meet code and put all the DTT2 tension ties in to strengthen the posts for earthquakes.
I would certainly use this company again.

Eric/Stainless Cable & Railing, Inc provided the best service, configuration and pricing to meet my design and budget requirements for our new home. Starting with the design phase and culminating with on site job modifications (resulting from changes in the sub decking), S, C, & R provided insightful, practical and friendly advice. The railing turned out better then expected, minimizing the impact on our view, while concurrently providing the security and protection desired. Many of our neighbors have since replaced their wood railings with the stainless cable system.
