Since our inception in 1986, R&A Stairs has established itself as one of the premier custom stair and railing manufacturers in the Greater Toronto Area. With so many years of experience, we have the knowledge and expertise to ensure that each project reflects all the exacting design specifications required by each client. We take great pride to deliver products that exude timeless quality. At R&A Stairs, we manufacture wooden stair and railing components at our Newmarket facility. This allows us to supervise every aspect of production. Though we outsource the manufacturing of metal and glass components to our affiliates, our attention to detail is equally relentless. R&A Stairs collaborates with clients, builders, architects, designers and homeowners alike to bring their visions to life. That is the R&A Stairs process. We provide our clients with the finished product they have been looking for… and then we do so much more. From the moment we receive the original drawings, we ensure that no detail is overlooked.

We expressed our vision and R&A made it a reality! From the design process to the finished product, we couldn’t be happier with their service, timeliness and workmanship. This project was to turn a small town 1980’s TD bank building into a modern professional work space and the glass staircase provided by R&A was key in the success. As a return customer, 17 years later, we were quite please with the quality of their service, and the workmanship of their trades. Renovation work started on time and within the estimated budget. No surprises. We were satisfied with the results of their work, especially the care taken during execution of their work to not affect the use of other areas of the house. I am one of the principal owners of a busy renovation company based in Toronto. I've been working with R and A stairs for over 6 years. On one recent project we ordered 3 sets of very wide saw tooth, rift white oak stairs with concealed stringers. Very modern and very heavy. It took the installers over 12 hours to manoeuvre and fit these stairs. They are perfect and the client is ecstatic. From fabrication to installation R and A stairs have the experience and the know how to provide their customers with excellent quality. They are reliable and I like that the owner Rick is the one measuring and the main contact for questions and concerns. All of our projects are tricky due to the nature of the older housing stock in Toronto and R and A is always able to figure it out and provide great quality stairs and railings. I would never look anywhere else.
