Combine energy-saving construction methods; proven, efficient HVAC and air circulation systems; and eye-catching, contemporary design, and you have our company, Zöld. Zöld, which means “green” in Hungarian, has a central mission is to design and construct residential buildings that reduce the energy needs to 50%- 80% in comparison to homes built with the conventional wood framing method. We build our new homes and additions with the use of a SIP panel system which is energy efficient and ten times stronger and longer lasting. Our system uses 70% less dimensional lumber, therefore, it is less stressful on the environment. We also modify existing homes by installing a retrofit panel system under the new siding and roof shingle. By replacing all windows with double or triple glaze thermal windows, the energy needs of the home are reduced by about 50%.
