We chose the The Market Design & Build to draw up our plans and get the architectural drawings through planning at Ealing council as we wanted a wrap around service. I can truly say that this is what we got. There were challenges with this project and communication was essential. All the staff we needed to speak to were available and we had regular meetings often over teams as needed. We have also had the structural drawings undertaken by TMDB and are now waiting on our quote for the building works. I would highly recommend this company and we are now on the journey of having our extension built. I like the fact that there are site visits and James' initial visit brought about some great ideas.

The market design and build have helped design our single storey wraparound extension,including submitting for planning which was approved on second submission due to living within conservation area. So some key changes had to be made which was not an issue and happened relatively fast .we are self delivering the work and they are more than happy to help over the phone with any queries so far, They pride themselves on quality which is apparent with there drawings produced. Architectural design and structural package. Excellent team. James and the architectural team offered me great advice from the outset, and regardless of whether we opted for them as the actual construction team or not, it was never an issue when providing us with consultation on general meetings to ensure that we made the right decisions in every step of our renovation process. We used them for the pre-production stages, i.e. developing the structural plans, and then, when we went with a separate construction team, we stayed in touch with the team, and they advised on every detail along the way up until Building Regulations came to sign off the house. Friendly, prompt emails if we had any questions, and offered great free advice every single step of the way. Plus excellent detailed plans. It's great to have humans who understand the needs of homeowners when a build is so stressful!

We used TMDB for their architectural design and structural package. The team was patient will our questions, adaptive to our needs and represented good value for money. Being first time renovators, though, at times we would have appreciated slightly more guidance from a firm - at times we felt as if we were receiving answers only to questions that we asked, rather than relevant information being proactively offered. Overall, though, the team was responsive and easy to work with.

As my project required structural alterations the team put together a very detailed structural report which outlined everything I needed to know regarding the structural alterations and the appropriate building regulations required. We are upgrading our semi detached property by adding a loft rear dormer conversion, side upper extension and rear extension. The Market Design and Build are our contractor and the experience so far has been very good. The whole project was itemized and costed with transparency before works began. It has remained on schedule which was always my top concern. The core + shell work is complete on time. Shin, as the project manager, has maintained timely communication and handled all unforeseen circumstances with ease. They have also been flexible in adapting to weather and events outside control.

We chose The Market Design and Build to do full refurbishment of the ground floor (including removing chimney breasts and a structural opening), rear extension as well as construction of an outbuilding at our home in Ruislip which has just completed. After running a tender process, we chose Market Design and Build based on their credentials and detailed response to the tender documents and competitive price. We wanted the work to start fairly quickly and The Market Design and Build was fairly accommodating. We were allocated a Project Manager and Foreman; they were both absolutely brilliant throughout the project and provided some valuable advice and suggestions that we are grateful for. Our Project manager ensured that the work is completed at high standard as per the agreed project plan, thereby ensuring the project didn’t run over the agreed time scales. Forman was very very good and was happy to accommodate any minor changes that we requested. He provided us with an overview of the plan each day and ensured he was checking in with us to ensure that we are happy with the work. We have been consistently impressed by the hardworking team and their subcontractors. Both project manager and foreman have shown an eye, and a passion to deliver the project to a high standard. Regular site meetings and prompt team updates ensured that we were in the loop on progress and any issues at all times. Even during the messiest and dustiest phases of the build, the site was kept as tidy as possible, and generally speaking, nothing was ever ‘too difficult’. We have no hesitation in recommending The Market Design and Build especially dedicated team for our project – this is the level of service and quality of project delivery that construction firm should be striving for.
