Smart Building Group - AMAZING on so many levels! In 2017, my family and I were away for a 3 week vacation , while we were away we had a slab leak that caused extreme damage to the walls, cabinets and flooring. My family had to move out due to the level of damage. The whole first floor of the house was RUINED, and had to be gutted; thankfully with the great work of Art and the rest of the Smart Building Group we were able to move back home in record time. Anyone going through such an ordeal would understand the level of stress, but thanks to Art, it was quickly put back together better than before. Art was a huge help with design, layout, color scheme and just about anything else we needed help on. He did such a great job that we decided to renovate the whole house! I can not say enough good things about a man who cares so much for his clients and takes pride in his craft. Art stepped up to get the job completed in record time and done to perfection! My gratitude runs deep, my appreciation is immense. Thanks to Art, or home was quickly put back together better than before. As a California Realtor and professional flipper, Smart Building Group has become my Go-to builder and contractor. Huge thank you to Art and his whole crew for consistently doing a great job!

After months of searching and meeting with various contractors, we chose Smart Building Group because we consider Art to be highly experienced, knowledgeable, smart, easy to talk to and understanding. He was also very competitive in his pricing. We needed to have our kitchen completely renovated, the kitchen ceiling raised, a kitchen window and wall removed, a huge brick façade in front of our house repaired and our dryer vent rerouted to go through the attic to the outside. We had a difficult time finding a contractor who was able to do all these work correctly as well as not charge us an arm and a leg. We were thrilled to find Art who knew exactly how the work needed to be done and was very reasonable in his pricing. We were very nervous as this was our first time to do a home renovation. We were also very demanding as my husband had done house construction in the past. Art was very patient with us, always responsive to our needs and concerns, and focused on pleasing us. At the same time, he provided us with advice and guidance so we make the right decisions. A big plus is Art’s eye for beauty and knowledge of current trends. It made a big difference to us that Art’s team was knowledgeable, hardworking, efficient and easy to work with. They always cleaned up before they left for the day. We love our new kitchen, our renovated brick façade and rerouted dryer vent. We are very happy that the work was done in a timely manner. Art, thank you so much for the great work and taking good care of us!

Art is a true ART-I st! His attention to detail is bar none. His ideas blew my mind & I trusted his process completely! He remodeled my home at approx 300k which included the kitchen & bathrooms. Art & his team were nothing short of professional, efficient & caring. As a Realtor & Investor, I know quality craftsmanship & Art has set the standard! Exquisite Shower Doors

As a professional Glazier, I have had the pleasure of working with a lot of great contractors in my 16 years of being in the glass industries. I can honestly say that Art and his team are one of the best group of guys to work with. They have always put out a great product that allows my work to shine. I've been a sub-contractor for Art for over 6 years and I have personally installed over a hundred custom showers on his projects. It's always easier to do my job, when someone like Art who is a master of details has taken away the guess work and laid out a game plan. I am on a lot of other projects where homeowners are upset with there contractors because things are out of control and they are really not aware of what is going on in there house until its to late. Those jobs are nightmares for homeowners and guys like myself who are soiled by great contractors like Art, for the homeowner more so than me. Its always hard to see homeowners upset because they their vision and a dream was destroyed by a contractor from hell. All that being said, you have Art's jobsite. Complete opposite. The team at SBG was wonderful to work with. They are knowledgeable, direct, and they stayed on the timeline we agreed to. The cabinets are of exceptional quality. I received several quotes and SBG was very competitive. I went with SBG for 2 reasons: 1. the craftsmanship of heir products and 2. the trust I had they were being honest and fair with me. They never tried to increase the project price. On the contrary, they guided me in ways that made sense in an effort to keep within a sensible budget. As I complicated the project, of course, I had to pay accordingly, but it was my choice, and was all worth it. I am so happy with my final results!!! When it's time for bathroom cabinets I will be back!

I hired Evan Grant and his crew to both gut renovate and extend a very special home I purchased for my family. We wanted to keep the exterior stone, build a new front section to house a circular staircase and expand the rear two stories to include a lower level living room and an upper level master bedroom. He worked very closely with our architect and the pictures speak for themselves. I highly recommend him.

As a professional organizer I often come in and help home owners set up their apartments after a renovation project. In this case I helped my clients set up and move into their new apartment. It was a combination of two units into one large home and we were all thrilled with the quality of the finishes and the overall performance of the general contractor. Beautiful work.

We planned to use SBG for our kitchen remodel after seeing some of their work at a friend’s home. Art and Evan met us at our home and came up with a fantastic plan to expand and update our kitchen. There were no surprises. The job went exactly as planned. SBG is professional, knowledgeable, responsive and easy to work with. We recommend them highly.
