Just awful. Zero communication, zero follow up. Little to no experience working in my municipality which resulted in countless delays and costly resubmissions. Decent design but poor execution and follow through. The newish onsite gc and the office mgr lady were the bright spots in this subpar experience.

I will never work with this company again! Throughout my entire project, I perceived them to be inefficient and non-communicative. There were several instances where they have been dishonest and attempted to upcharge me for work that was included in our contract. They sell themselves as a 'full service' company, but this could not be further from the truth. Instead of making the process smoother, they caused countless hours of additional work and stress for me and my husband.
We contracted with New DImensions to renovate our kitchen back in February 2022, making it very clear we needed this renovation done before our baby came in October - this was agreed upon in our contract.
They did not start the job until September - 9 months later, despite us continuously following up to see how we could move things forward more quickly. They were completely unresponsive and not at all transparent about what was causing the delays. My son is now 3 months old, and they JUST finished (January 2023) - 5 months after starting what should have been a 2-3 month job.
New Dimensions also came to us with ~$15k of additional items they attempted to charge us for throughout the project, threatening to shut the project down if we didn't pay, so we felt like we were trapped. Some of these were for things that were expressly called out in our contract, like some HVAC work and building out a few closets.
Several times, they demanded we pay them early for milestones that had not yet been completed (it is worth noting that the payment milestones are structured in a way so a majority of the cost if front-loaded, meaning we had paid ~80% of the project cost before they had completed even 50% of the work). It was exhausting to constantly be fighting with them every step of the way and caused long delays.
When we brought up our dissatisfaction about the delayed timeline and repeated upcharges, some of the employees were downright offensive - literally screaming and yelling at us in a completely unprofessional way.
During the project, we also had issues with the speed of work, quality of work, speed of sourcing materials, cost of materials, and project management.

They completed a remodel and extension to our house several years ago. Their crew of workers did a solid job.

New Dimensions is not only impeccable in their work product but they are considerate of you as the home owner and working with you through the project. It's the only remodeling firm / contractor I've worked with that we did not have to worry about the quality of the work or timeliness of completion. A+ quality business.

I had my kitchen remodeled. The experience went very well. I had quality and dedicated service from start to finish....and I kept in budget.
My kitchen is beautiful. It looks like belongs on a magazine page.
April Gehl was my designer. I would highly recommend her.
Very satisfied.

I have been working with New Dimensions Remodeling since 2009. Their attention to details and quality of work they produce are a few that I admire about them. They are well organized and always try to complete a project within the given budget. Their craftsmanship is of the highest quality.

Just to be clear, this is not a review of their work, as we never got that far with them so I cannot comment on the quality of their craftsmanship. But we never got that far with them because a). they came back with a proposal that was 120% above our budget and b). they never followed up, other than to warn us not to post slanderous comments about their business practices.
We paid them for a design - the cost of which was to be applied to the remodel once a final design was agreed upon. We asked them to design a new kitchen, master bath, guest bath, and some other changes in our house. We gave them a budget number, which in retrospect was a mistake. I told them that the budget was meant to cover everything we had discussed with them, and that there could potentially be more money for other jobs in the future if we were happy with their work. Were we expecting too much for our budget? Probably. Were we expecting a proposal that more than doubled our budget? No. I also was not expecting this quote: "it's only about $60,000 over your budget." I guess if the words "only" and "$60,000" sound appropriate going together to you, give these guys a call! Furthermore, it was not accurate - the proposal was well over $60,000 above our original stated budget.
The follow up proposal would have eaten up our original budget on a scaled down version of the kitchen remodel and only 2/3 of the new flooring we wanted to complete in the house - and not included any of the other projects. I consulted with friends who have done remodeling and they assured me this proposal pricing was in the stratosphere.
The last contact I had with this firm was in early April, and it was basically a take it or leave it - this is our proposal, call us if you want to move forward. In the mean time, I sought out other firms, and found much more reasonable pricing - it turns out we can get everything we wanted for maybe 10-20% more than our original budget.
We called New Dimensions back in late May to ask for our down payment on the design back - again, they have never followed up since the last conversation in early April, someone must have been absent the day they taught Marketing 101. They responded with a letter warning us not to slander them or we would hear from their attorney.

Comentario de New Dimensions Remodeling:
New Dimensions would never stop working with a client. We want to build kitchens, bathrooms and additions. It is what we do as a business. Our design files are still open and have never been closed.
The design process is just that, a process. We showed the client many projects we had completed recently and explained that, despite popular belief we could not guess what things might cost. There is no way to know a realistic budget for a project until we complete a design, which is what we accomplished. We needed to have the design layout and materials list. Once those things were drawn and selected, we would calculate the exact cost of the project with a few estimated numbers, like a range for plumbing fixtures, tile, granite, etc.
New Dimensions followed the client’s direction. We created several drawn floor plans and computer renderings and reviewed our designs. The client requested more cabinets, open floor plan, more storage, etc. The changes were made. We met to review the new designs and project cost. We made light of the fact that we were way over budget. We discussed scaling back the project. Another redesign of the kitchen was completed that cut back the budget by half with a few changes. We met with Mrs. alone to review; Mr. could not make the meeting. Mrs. went home to review our meeting with her husband. We had several phone conversations discussing how the job was still too costly. We talked about how the structure, materials, design layout all add to the cost. We explained that this was the design process and we could continue to scale back and create a new design.
The clients told us that they were going on vacation and would contact us when they returned.
A few weeks later we received a voicemail message and email requesting the return of their design agreement deposit as they had found someone to construct a kitchen for much less then our designs and were moving on. We expressed our disappointment in their decision to choose another contractor and explained in our email response, that the design fee was for all the design work that we completed.
They replied that if we did not return the fee, they would contact the BBB and post reviews on all social media about unethical business practices. How is it unethical if we have completed all work pertaining to our design agreement? The General Manager sent them a letter reiterating that the work that was completed was not unethical, and we take threats of slander very seriously.
Unfortunately, we were never able to show them our new re-designs. If they wanted to meet again to discuss the new design we are sure they would be very happy. We would also like to see how it compares to the design the new contractor had envisioned for a more modest budget. We are sure we could build that design as well. New Dimensions has never ended our work relationship. If the client would like to meet, we still have their folder open and all the designs and renderings to review. The process can continue. We are in the building business. New Dimensions wants to build your project.

I brought New Dimensions into my home to help with a home renovation project I had been thinking about for a while. From the first consultation, I was very impressed by their knowledge, design and professionalism. The consultant I worked with was able to take all my needs and ideas and create a layout that changed the space I live in. I now have a kitchen/family room and master suite that is everything I imagined. Their construction crew was top notch and I have nothing negative to say. You pay for the quality you receive, and may I say, New Dimensions Remodeling is worth every penny I paid. I highly recommend this firm.

We hired New Dimensions in mid 2001, to expand our garage and rebuild our mudroom. The design process went smoothly and we had high hopes. It was a nightmare once construction began, and rain water was guided by a tarp into our home and water flowed through our kitchen ceiling and light fixtures - more than once. Further along water flowed into the newly built mudroom, again into a light fixture and switch, bubbling up the newly painted wall and ceiling. Supposedly fixed, and it happened yet again. Add to that issue, water leaks from the gutter, due to a very poorly designed and executed issue of draining water from the roof deck. Years of promises and lack of follow through, we finally hired our own roofer to truly fix the issue in 2013, rather than add another layer of silicone - yes, that was one of the "solutions" used. The roofers they subcontracted with were truly awful - and their workmanship was subpar and cheap at best. We recently discovered there is no flashing above the windows, so yet another leak has appeared inside the garage around one of the windows.
I highly recommend that you avoid this company at all costs, or it may cost you all.

Comentario de New Dimensions Remodeling:
During construction, our site was hit with a major rainstorm. During the downpour, a tarp was loosened and ripped. We were contacted by the homeowner in the early evening of a leak, which we responded to immediately and repaired on the spot.
Later, we were aware that two courses of tile were laid incorrectly on a flat roof patio installation, which we corrected and re-flashed with copper flashing and roofing cement. No silicone was used. The job was completed, and we were never notified again of any further leakage or issues with construction. Had we been notified by the homeowner, we would have surely paid a visit ASAP to look into any issues and repair any problems if they existed within a timely manner; especially since we offer a two year warranty from completion date of the initial contract.
New Dimensions Remodeling stands by its work and construction, and has been in business for over 25 years because of this!
