We just completed a basement renovation with Michael DeJong Homes and we would highly recommend this team. Michael oversaw the entire project while Jordan was the project manager once the construction began. Both were incredibly professional, courteous, respectful, friendly, and ensured timely communication throughout the entire project. Since we had a newborn, we asked if it was possible to ensure the washer and dryer were hooked up as much as possible – even if Jordan wasn’t onsite during the day while other trades were working, he arrived at the end of the work day to hook up both machines….a very kind gesture that we appreciated immensely. The trades that were brought in were also very professional and the quality of the work was amazing. We know a lot of project management went on behind the scenes and it was clear that both Michael and Jordan knew how to keep the project moving along smoothly. We experienced some unexpected hiccups throughout the project but the team responded to them quickly and with solutions that worked. The end result was a basement that surpassed our expectations and we are so thrilled to have a bright, liveable space with lots of storage, a new bathroom, an upgraded laundry room, and space for our son to play.

We couldn't be happier with our 3 floor renovation. Michael's approach to the design of our space was far superior to any other firm we interviewed. He spent time learning about our lifestyle and needs, and was able to develop a plan that supported our day to day function in a way I had not thought possible within the confines of the existing structure. The finishes are seamless. They clearly take care and pride in their work. The team was easy to work with, and we were on time and on budget. We did expand the scope of the project substantially, and despite that were able to move in on time. The home is absolutely transformed, the interior is barely recognizable to those who knew the previous structure, and the pleasure of living in a fabulous space is immense. I would highly recommend Michael DeJong Interiors, and would use them again if the opportunity arises. No plans soon - our home is perfect!

Completed two projects for us. One entailed an entire main floor renovation and the other was a bathroom re-model. Both projects exceeded our expectations. We appreciated the high quality of workmanship. Both projects met timelines. Organized and timely. Somebody was always there on the project. We will use him again.

I hired DeJong homes to design and build a carriage house on our property. They did an outstanding job on the entire process from designing a complimentary and visually pleasing building to the fine details of their finished work. We did a complete main floor renovation with additional garage & second floor master bedroom with en-suite. DeJong Homes were very professional. The design was architecturally pleasing and the finishes are beautiful. Michael & his team were always pleasant to work with and the project was completed within the time frame allotted.

Michael DeJong Homes did a fantastic job of our home renovation in the Fall of 2014. It was a pretty big project, including removing walls, new flooring, new kitchen, stairs, paint, etc. They brought in experienced tradespeople who were respectful of the home and got the job done well. When necessary, the tradespeople were in touch with us personally to ensure that we were getting what we wanted. The project was finished ahead of the expected schedule and was within the budget outlined at the beginning of the project. When unexpected issues came up, we were always notified and options were presented on how to solve the problem. The only complaint I had is that at times it was confusing to deal with two different people, Michael directly, and the person who was in charge of leading the project. Luckily there were no negative consequences, but the communication could have been a bit more streamlined. Overall, we were extremely happy with the final project and would definitely use Michael and his team again for future renovation projects.

Dejong Homes tore off an existing extension and put on a larger one with a new basement and front porch as well. I found they were extremely organized, punctual, trustworthy, professional and the project was done on time! They had a great advice with finishes and i found that they were the whole package deal! They felt like family and we were sad when it was over and had to say good bye! Thank you very much Dejong Homes!

Excellent job Michael and team. We search for two years to find a contractor we could trust. Then we met with Michael DeJong, someone who was recommended to us through a friend. He came to the meeting very prepared and asked us as many questions as we asked him. He encouraged us to have a few more meetings together to discuss aspects of the project. There was no hard sell or pressure at all. Once everything was finalized Michael presented us with a project budget. If there were no surprises this would be the final cost. There were no surprises. The work started right on time and finished to schedule: 3 months. His team were very courteous and thoughtful. And they were clean! After everyday they cleaned the sight. Fantastic. We are now working again with Michael to redo our 3 bathrooms and stairs. We did not shop this new project because we knew we found our guy.

We completed a house addition via Michael Dejong Homes which included a master bedroom w/ Ensuite as well as a basement reno with added laundry room. They were very detailed and finished ahead of schedule which was nice to see. The project foreman kept us in the loop of the schedule and addressed any questions or concerns we had in a professional / timely manner.
