Finial designed and built our custom home for us. We met with them before we even purchased our lot and discussed the size of our home and our needs. Finial helped us make the right decision from the very start. Finial went over every aspect of how we live to design the home to meet the needs and preferences of our family. Frank oversaw every detail of our home. There were no surprises along the way since we were able to pick out our finishings from start to finish based on our budget. We could not have asked for a better experience building our dream home. I would highly recommend Finial to anyone.

My review of Finial Custom Builders, who we contracted to design and build our home, is they are very disappointing. Very slow, unorganized and unreliable. From the beginning, the owner frequently forgot major details, such as the exact location of where the house was to be placed on the lot (approximately 10 feet from where the foundation was poured) or the brick accents (never ordered and took 7 weeks just to get in) also, after we moved in, I discovered on the roof of the 3 car garage the ridge vent had been installed without any slot cut underneath to allow air flow through the attic. Seldom did they check behind the subcontractors, therefore several projects were left unfinished and lacked quality craftsmanship. It was left to us to continually manage this process. Along the way we made Frank Rodgers aware of several problems such as this that needed correcting, none of which he was aware of before we pointed them out. When these were brought to his attention, he either argued with us or blamed someone else as opposed to simply correcting it. This meant each time we were presented with the decision to either hold our ground and have the house done correctly or proceed with the house as is. Some of the subcontractors were professional and did very good work. However, the majority of the time up to three weeks went by without any work being done on the house. It seemed subcontractors weren’t willing to partner with Finial. This is the third home we have build so we are no stranger to this process, but it would be safe to say this was the most exhausting and stressful build we have ever experienced. When we set out to build our dream custom home,it was our expectation the work would be of excellent quality and tailored to our selections. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

Working with Frank and his entire staff of Finial Custom Builders was a true blessing! They were not only professional and knowledgeable, but they held my hand from start to finish, helping me with decisions on purchases, Frank had an inate ability to understand what I wanted which made the renovation stress free. The quality of work completed by each trade was superior, and most importantly, Frank ensured deadlines were met and the project came in on budget.

At an age when many people are downsizing to smaller living spaces, I decided to build a house, "from scratch", for the first time. Adding to the mix was the fact that the lot I found was tucked at the end of a street of older houses. I would be the last "new kid on the block". Fortunately, I was given the name of Finial Custom Builders. From my first meeting with Frank Rodgers, I knew that I was in good hands. Frank listened to my ideas and gently steered me in a good direction if I got off-track. Melanie knew how to interpret my phone calls of multiple questions and get to the heart of the matter. Patience, professionalism and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the building process. I love living in my house and sharing it with my family and friends. Everyone says the house looks like it has always been there. Thanks to Finial.

This was not our first time hiring Frank Rodgers and Finial Custom Builders, Inc.. The decision to hire him for a second time for a major project was made relatively easy, Frank has earned our trust and confidence. In my opinion, the characteristics of integrity and accountability, hold extremely high value but are matched by Frank's professionalism and vision to design a customer's dream. Frank's experiences are evident as he transforms a customers words and visions into reality. Frank and Finial Custom Builders, Inc are highly recommended.

If you want the highest quality and attention to detail, Finial Custom Builders should be your choice. From the design to completion, Frank was a pleasure to deal with - professional, courteous and wonderful about communicating and sharing ideas and issues. Our home is gorgeous (we are a little prejudiced) but we always receive complements from everyone - friends, family and neighbors. Our neighbors loved how the job site was left clean everyday. And our HOA was most complementary about his professionalism from initial to final approvals. Do yourself a favor and contract with Frank and Finial for a very special home and building experience.

Finial listened to our thoughts and helped us develop a vision for our home. Frank's design was exceptional. They helped with material/color/finish selections. The finished product is well beyond our expectations. Everyone at Finial is very professional and enjoyable to deal with. They kept us informed and helped us with decisions throughout the project. Workplace was kept clean and organized. They organized the work flow to minimize disruptions to our schedules. Everyone showed up when promised and performed what was promised. It was a pleasure working with Finial Custom Builders.

Finial did a phenomenal job on our condo remodel. Their attention to detail and commitment to the project was such a comfort to us. The project planning, design, budget, and completion exceeded our expectations. They had to overcome many barriers of working with strict condo rules and limited work space. I have heard nothing but praise from our building management and I know they have recommended them to other's in our building. We will be using Finial again!!

Finial Custom Builders, Inc. completed a master bedroom, master bathroom and master closet addition on our home which was built in 1944. We could not be more pleased with the results. Frank Rodgers did an excellent job on the design of the addition. It goes along so well with the rest of the house, hard to tell that it is an addition. The project took less than 90 days to complete. I can honestly say we did not have one problem in those 90 days. Everything went so smoothly for us as homeowners. If we ever had a question or concern not an hour went by without an answer. Frank has a great gift for design and high end finishes, so much nicer than we had ever dreamed. Frank, Melanie and the entire team were a pleasure to work with. We are loving our addition, we actually wake up every morning feeling like we are in a luxury inn on vacation. So much more than we asked for. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants more than they are expecting.

Creative, thorough, conscientious, flexible, integrity--all these words to describe a construction company? Yes! In 2010, Finial Custom Builders did a large addition of a Master Bedroom closet/dressing/laundry facility at my home. It was quite involved and included custom-designed cabinetry & shelving built in place. Frank and the people who work for him listened to all my requests and did their best to accommodate them. Some of my requests were unique--different from their standard practice, but they did their best to comply. For instance, I requested shelving without applied outer-edge trim in the master closet addition in order to accommodate more shoe box storage. I also needed upper-level closet rods installed lower than the standard 86". They complied to requests such as these without any problems. In some cases, I would share an idea that seemed impossible, and Frank would make it work or have a better idea. In some cases, my requests were too costly, and Frank was very helpful as far as helping me make choices that would keep me close to my budget. Part of the job required matching new cabinet finishes with existing finishes, and these turned out to be indistinguishable from each other. In the same project, new built-in cabinetry, mantel, and wiring were installed in the family room for media equipment. The cabinetry was very beautiful, and perfectly functional as well. Another part of the project was to reconfigure a hallway, bathroom and bedroom for more efficient use of the space and to create more storage for the bedroom. Frank designed and then constructed a beautiful built-in storage/vanity area in the bedroom, which included integrated lighting and met my daughter's needs and all her wants, too. Our job was very clean, and our neighbors never had any complaints during the construction process. One neighbor even commented that he would hire Finial partly as a result of the fact that Frank took a letter of introduction to each neighbor on my street, stating that he was working in the area and to alert him to any problems that might be caused by the construction. At the conclusion of the job, Frank had the house interior cleaned, and, when it was not performed to his satisfaction, he had it cleaned again. He uses a different cleaning crew now. The job I have just described was the largest job Finial has completed for us. However, they also remodeled the master bathroom of a different home in 2008, and completed other renovations to that same home in 2014. The 2014 job included raising floor surfaces so they would be flat throughout the lower level of our home, reconfiguring a doorway, refinishing wood floor, and completely repainting the inside of our home. Because of our previous experiences with Frank and Finial Custom Builders, we would not have considered asking anyone else to do the work. Now, in 2015, we are about to begin our fourth project with Finial Custom Builders, Inc. We are looking forward to enjoying the results of another successful project.

Frank and his staff from Finial are wonderful! Frank designed and built our dream home. He listened and planned with us for months and incorporated every detail we wanted. Frank thought of many things we would not have. The result is beautiful exquisite and we could not be more happy. Frank and his team were wonderful throughout the building process. We were informed of progress, details were patiently explained and every sub was very respectful. Frank is very honest, clear and supportive. If we were to build another home, we would use Finial!
