Creative Spaces helped us realize a beautiful new kitchen from the floors, cabinets, fixtures, appliances, countertops and layout. In the process they upgraded out electric service and fixed long standing electrical issues. We went from thinking about moving to planning to stay for a long long time.

After several disappointing home remodeling projects with other companies I was hesitant to try again. It was a chance encounter that I met the owner and took that as a sign it was time to try again. From the start of the project to the very end I could not have been more pleased. Every team member and contractor was professional, courteous and really listened to my vision for my kitchen. My project manager Matt Hostetler went above and beyond to ensure that the project ran smoothly; his daily presence on the job site definitely helped to relieve the stress and anxiety of a home remodeling project. I was sad when the job ended but over the moon happy with my new kitchen. I look forward to working with Creative Spaces Remodeling on a future project.

Alex at Creative Spaces was incredible handling our kitchen remodel. We ended up having to move to another location and worked with another contractor that was less than stellar, and it gave great context for what Alex achieved for us; 1. The contract he drew up was very detailed and accurate, leaving nothing ambiguous or confusing for either us or sub contractors performing work. 2. Coordinated excellently with subcontractors to have work done at the specified dates and times with minimal disruption even though we were doing a to-the-studs renovation. 3. Maintained an excellent work list/materials list for subcontractors, and kept us on time with our build selections. 4. Utilized buildertrend so that we had a clear idea of all upcoming responsibilities we had (selection, re-arranging, cleaning, being available…) and the expected work timeframes. He’s really the bar we compare other contractors to. Alex lead his team excellently, and they provided us the kitchen of our dreams, inside budget and right before the pandemic hit.

We interviewed a number of contractors to remodel our kitchen. Most demonstrated a complete lack of design creativity and seemed to be interested--if we could get them interested at all--in just bringing in new cabinets and flooring..."and calling it a day!" Dear friends of ours recommended that we interview Creative Spaces Remodeling, because John Johnson and his team had wowed them with their design ideas and they had contracted with them. I had never heard of Creative Spaces Remodeling and of course knew nothing of their design and construction skillset. I do know, however, that our friends are at least as particular as we are, and if they had contracted with Creative Spaces Remodeling, we should at least interview them before making a decision on next steps. From our initial meeting with the Creative Spaces Remodeling team, we were impressed with their "outside the box" design ideas, and before long we, too, had contracted with them. The project took longer than we anticipated, but was usually something beyond the control of Creative Spaces Remodeling (e.g., delays in getting cabinetry and appliances, our inability to make a decision on a countertop, tile and cabinet hardware, etc.). In the end, the Creative Spaces Remodeling team delivered a stunning result! We have a remodeled kitchen (and dining room, too!) that we are proud of. And all who have seen the remodeling are amazed at the results of this effort.

We had a great experience with CSR despite the pandemic which altered the time table for everything. John and Jim worked with us to get to the best design based on our desires for the project. Once demolition and construction started Steve and Matt stayed on top of everything, answering our questions, explaining what would happen step by step and working with the contractors to ensure we were happy with everything. Whenever something came up one or both of them took care of it right away. We are so happy with the completed project, we intend to use CSR for our next project.

This is the second project we have done with Creative Spaces, with more sure to follow. CS is currently enhancing the front of our home with a larger, more attractive porch, new front door and windows as well as new siding (other 3 sides resided with CS last year). John and his design team have helped us blend the new improved exterior with some fantastic interior enhancements as well. A former cramped entryway and wasted mud/storage room will now become a larger, welcoming, more organized foyer along with a new butler's pantry for desperately needed extra kitchen storage. This CS team has been extremely accommodating at every stage of our projects, incorporating all our ideas and wishes into a very attractive final design. And the work is top notch. All their contractors are superior. I highly recommend Creative Spaces to anyone thinking of home improvement projects, no matter the scope. Just get in touch and share an idea of something you need or want done and these guys will make it happen...beautufully!

Creative Spaces replaced old windows on several sides of our home with new, more energy efficient windows as well as replaced old vinyl siding with a new, more attractive vinyl. They also repaired drywall, framing and a section of sub flooring damaged by a water leak. Their team of professionals were very reliable, courteous and neat and their work was excellent. I especially loved that our Project Manager, Steven, kept us well informed every step of the way!

In 2015, I hired Creative Spaces Remodeling to work on my cottage on the Chesapeake Bay which was originally built in 1900. I liked John Johnson's approach. You can imagine the problems with an old house. We finished the remodel a year later and I absolutely love the house. We ended up remodeling the plumbing (2 bathrooms), electrical, remove oil boiler and installed new air conditioner/heater, knocking down walls, new windows and new balcony off master bedroom. Since then, Creative Spaces has backed up the 5 year warranty. I had a leak from the drip pan in the attic. They figured out what was happening and fixed the problem and redid the ceiling and painted. Great company to work with.
