Byrd Building

Established in 1998, Byrd Building is a family business managed by Rick and Dava Byrd. Rick grew up in a family of residential contractors and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with an MS degree in Construction Administration. His experience ranges from cleaning job sites as an adolescent to project managing the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall renovation. He has been fortunate enough to work with some of Norman’s best home builders, including NAHB Life Director Ben Newcomer, Don Cies, Bus Eoff, Clark Heatherington, George Musgrave, Don Overton, Claudell Overton, Charles Epperson, Mike Barnett, John Tune, Bob Thompson, Jimmy Motie, Ben Graves and others. A 12-year career with Flintco, Inc. nurtured his ability to manage projects large and small. Rick is accustomed to working with diverse groups of professionals, and he has a talent for managing building processes and contractors. Rick has crafted a wide selection of amazing luxury homes within exclusive neighborhoods in Central Oklahoma.
