Nicole and Burlock Interiors have been fantastic to work with. We retained Burlock to provide complete interior design and specification services for a new 81 unit luxury rental apartment. She has been intimately involved in both providing great design direction and also keeping it within a strict budget. Nicole has provided detailed drawings as well as sourced many of the materials which provides for an easy implementation of the project. She is never flustered by the inevitable changes but just charges ahead solving problems and providing alternate solutions. This is the third project I have hired Burlock to do interior design work on. Nicole is a consummate professional, great designer, and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend her for any project large or small!

I have worked with Nicole on several projects, including a Designer Showhouse I organized to combine design and artists in new and innovative ways. Nicole created the most innovative magical forest space for children. It was the hit of the Designer Showhouse. Recently Nicole created a breakfast room for me. Her design incorporated a collage of an artist paintings with a designer lattice over the collage. Casually chic furnishings, banquet seating and window dressings completed the look. Perfectly executed, and on time it was a room that anyone would want to have breakfast in every day.

Nicole is an incredibly talented designer with excellent taste. I recently worked with her on a 1920's style farmhouse restaurant/bar. Her vision and attention to detail with respect to the period was spot on. I was very impressed with her design of the bar and her choice of materials. She is fun and great to work with.

What I like best about working with Burlock interiors is that Nicole really tries to find exactly what you are looking for. We wanted a slightly offbeat look for our "Casbah" Bathroom and we reviewed together a wide range of potential materials and patterns but nothing was just right or within our budget. FInally, Nicole found a perfect solution: a green glass tile with a genie bottle curve was exactly the vibe we wanted to create.

I was hired as construction manager/general contractor for a complete interior renovation by the new owners of a residence with beautiful Hudson River views. Nicole Ashey, of Burlock Interiors was brought on board early in the development of the project to orchestrate the redesign of the master bath suite as well as a second guest bath/laundry. She managed to expertly juggle the homeowners' aesthetic visions, construction schedules and an incredible assortment of materials and finishes and deliver one of the best designed spaces I have had the pleasure of constructing in 30 years. We hired Burlock to decorate several rooms in our new home. We are beyond pleased with the results. Nicole was meticulous about getting to know our needs and design style. She is extremely knowledgable and professional, and a pleasure to work with. She respected our budget and always gave us a host of options - as to furniture, paint colors, accessories. We truly enjoyed the process, and are extremely grateful to Burlock for helping us to start making our house a cozy home. Burlock Interiors was recommended to me by my architect that I have used for many years for one of my home renovation projects. I called Burlock and was impressed immediately by Nicole's professionalism and friendliness. We met soon after and she had refreshing ideas right from the start. I feel that I have a pretty good sense of decor and style but Nicole made choices that I never would have made in a million years and I loved them! She was able to match the renovation decor with the rest of my home and with the furniture I intended on using but with an upgrade. The selections were timeless and classy. Nicole Ashey did the styling for a photo shoot for us. Her creativity and resourcefulness were extremely helpful. Locating unique accessories and setting up believable still lives, she was able to bring a fresh perspective to the space and stage it in a very imaginative and attractive way.

You all know how it goes, I love my house, my home but I was so familiar with the surroundings and needed a real change. I was overwhelmed and so afraid to make a decision that I made no change at all. I wanted a whole new concept and needed to change things gradually so that the old transformed into the new over an extended period. How was I going to do that? Isn’t that impossible? I thought it was until I hired Burlock Interiors. Nicole managed to figure out what I wanted to accomplish and my design style even when I wasn’t sure myself. I wanted to go from Country(ish) to Modern(ish). She gave me a design board complete with pictures and colors based on our initial consultation. She also provided the specifications and resources for the furniture, lighting, window treatments and paint colors. I’ve made some of the changes already and it’s amazing. I love the direction and love the blend of the few pieces I wanted to keep with the new. It feels good to be in love with my home again.

I worked with Nicole on the decoration of my entire home. We worked together first to define a style, which I'd never really done before, and was fine with my hard limits (I have many many books and refuse to part with them). She was also very patient with me when I dithered on things and couldn't make up my mind, and when I insisted on doing things like making my own curtains. She was probably better about staying on top of the budget than I was. The process was great; the end result even better. I'm still particularly in love with the bedroom - waking up every morning in such a wonderful space starts the day off so beautifully.
