I had a fantastic experience working with Ambience Design Services on the design and build-out of a high-end condo. Ambience handled all design aspects of the development. This included sitting down with my team to completely understand what we wanted, design planning, project budgeting, finding those hard to find design elements, completing full project renderings, coordinating with numerous people, and working closely with my general contractor to ensure the project was built to spec. The Ambience team was actively involved all throughout the project. Jack was incredible and very helpful with answering any questions I had regarding any part of the design process and was very knowledgeable with many other aspects of the general project development. Jack and his team were always available when needed, took full responsibility for the project, were highly professional, and a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend working with Ambience!

Pat Emery at Ambience is a wonderful designer. I have used Pat on many occasions while redesigning the interior of my home and she has always been spot on with her advice. Recently, I found I needed help again as I was completing the living room and was struggling to work out what type of chair and what color and fabric it should be. (this was a major anchor piece of furniture for the living room so it needed to perfect). I contacted Pat and after we went over what I was hoping to accomplish design wise she made a few excellent suggestions so that I could get the exact look and feel for my home that I was after. As a result I was able to find the perfect piece and created the exact mood that my husband and I wanted. I highly recommend Pat and her team. They are very talented and are very good communicators and duplicating what I wanted. I highly recommend Pat and her team and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Ambience Design Services was hired by my boss to complete some decoration and minor construction for a studio he owns. Once Ambience inspected the building it was determined several structural improvements should be made before moving forward. They replaced the AC units/ducting and roof coating as well as the skylights, put trusses up and most importantly, added a fire alarm system! All of these items were not originally planned but added after they were hired. They've added to the base value of the building and have also added to the longevity of the studio. I have been witness to the new AC units and they are so much better than before! In addition to all of the above they also demolished the second story/bathroom. During which they covered all of the equipment in the studio and were very careful if they had to move anything. Two bathrooms and a second story production room are planned for the next stage of construction. The project manager, Ryan has been available and very helpful answering any questions we've had or working around our studio's schedule. He has even been able to add construction items as we find them (shortening an AC duct for purely aesthetic reasons). Working with Ryan and the rest of the Ambience team has been a pleasure and I look forward the finalizing all the great changes they've made thus far. My first exposure to Ambience was a referral from a friend. I went to their web site and was very impressed, but felt they would not be interested in my job which was mostly exterior, rebuilding a fence and staining a large redwood deck. However, I called and they came out to see the property. From the minute I met Ryan, our project manager, until the completion of the work on our project they treated my small project with the same respect and attention one would expect for larger more complicated projects. I have done a great deal of work on my house in remodeling and decorating, and rate this company with the best. I found that Ambience and the people who work for this company were professional and detail oriented. Work was completed in the time expected and Ryan kept us posted on what to expect on a regular basis. The craftsmen who worked on the house did so with great care and precision and even spotted a problem we were unaware of and beyond the scope of the original work order. If this had gone undiscovered we could have had much larger issues. I highly recommend Ambience. Barbara K

We challenged Jack and Pat and their team with the renovation of our office space that not only included a reception area and kitchen but also high traffic warehouse space....all long overdue for a face lift. They did a superb job in coming up with a clean, modern, timeless design that suited the space our clients visit as well as the space our technicians work. We came in on time and on budget. What more could you ask for!

The project then did for us was a disaster! They basically walked off the job cause they couldn't figure out how to fix the work they did! The pictures they posted look nothing like what our bathrooms look like...they don't do quality work, no matter what u think the pictures look like. I would never recommend then to anyone! Don't let em' try to fool u on how good they think there are!!! I had to hire my own people to finish the work!!!

Years ago Jack Snyder oversaw a total renovation of our NYC apartment from design to contracting and then proceeded to shop with me in Soho for random, unique pieces to complement the furniture we already owned that we were bringing to our new home. Not only did he respect our schedule completing the work under the deadline, but he respected our budget as well. Given that Jack gets ‘our taste’, has such a keen eye for design and is always charming and easy to work with, we naturally sought his thoughts and ideas as we began to decorate our newly renovated house on the water in CT…this time starting from scratch in terms of furnishing! When I say ‘he gets our taste’ I must note that the style this time is totally different from NYC; to say his design ideas are adaptable to the space at hand is an understatement. He loves the challenge of suggesting and finding just the right pieces, thus our décor is still a work in progress. Jack, Ambience Design Services, is equally comfortable on both the West & East coasts…how lucky are we that though much of his time is now spent in CA, he willingly comes East to work when ‘summoned’! Not only is this a very professional design company, but Jack & Pat have accumulated excellent contacts in the various trades to execute the project, the work.

Ambience provided Architectural, Civil, design and project management services for Aljazeera International. These services were in connection with our build of a news bureau for our international channel in downtown Los Angeles. They were amazing to work with...professional, flexible, resourceful and talented and we are very happy with the result to the extent that we intend to apply a lot of the design to our bureaus worldwide.

Jack Snyder is an excellent designer. He is a creative problem solver and recommends stylish, current trends that are also the most economical. He and his team are very personable and responsive. They are quick to offer help and they have access to additional staff so any issue is tackled promptly. I highly recommend Jack at Ambience Design Services. I just have one thing to say! Regina and Jack and Pat and Ryan and Beth and Kristen and anyone else I haven't met yet, are absolutely Awesome!!! Many many thanks for your help. I have learned a valuable lesson and I will scream it from the mountain top. I will, from now on, contact Ambience Design when I have a project that needs to be accomplished in Los Angeles.

Ambience Design was our interior and architectural designer for two of our home. Jack Snyder is a creative genius. Materials and concepts were quite unique. He helped us with every level of detail. We trusted his judgment every step of the way. He managed all of the construction trades to ensure the project was done in a timely fashion and within budget. We continue to get compliments from family and friends.

Rating: Excellent Job! Highest recommendation My wife and I had been looking for a new home for over one year. Our current home was near the beach but because of the nature of the topography it had four stories and no room for an elevator. So we looked for a contemporary ranch home with an ocean view. The area we looked in had fabulous views but the city encouraged homes with an exterior Tuscan flavor which we did not like. We finally found a two story spec home (4000 sq ft 4 bedrooms, media room, living room, dining room) which was 50% complete and had a lovely swimming pool and perhaps the finest beach views in Southern California.But the interior was Tuscan style. We loved the home but not the interior design and were ready to walk away until a friend recommended Ambience Design Services. We met with Jack Snyder and his wife Pat Emery and were immediately impressed. Jack and Pat have more than 30 years of experience in both interior design and home construction. Both on the east coast and west coast. We gave Jack a budget of less than $100,000 to redesign the interior to a contemporary motif. We had doubts whether he could do it and could convince the General Contractor to make the changes within the budget. We were amazed. Jack jumped right into the project and within 14 days we had detailed construction drawings for a new contemporary interior design which was below the budget we had set. Being a former builder, Jack new exactly what the builder needed and how to relate to him. Jack obtained the original architectural drawings in CAD format and has the internal capability to modify these drawings with new lighting, future furniture layout, and all new fireplace design (3 fireplaces). Jack completely redesigned the kitchen to make it one of the highlights of our new home. Jack and Pat and their design team were tireless as they took us from stone yard to stone yard to select countertops, floors, bathroom tiles etc. He would not let us settle for something that we were not quite sure about. Most interior designers are only furniture oriented. Jack and Pat taught us the importance of lighting and color coordination which often is more important than the furniture you select. Ambiance, with a staff of 10 is a full service Interior Design Company and is customer oriented. They truly care. We were so fortunate to have found them. My recommendation: do not settle for less.
