Very knowledgeable in electrical applications, electronic equipment including the following...receivers/speakers/motems/routers/etc, internet integration, cable set up, remote equipment for furnace thermostat...The Nest. He has also been excellent in explaining the use of said equipment.

Patrick and his team did an outstanding job consulting and executing throughout the process of selection and installation of significant A/V equipment in several rooms in our new home. We've been here over a year now and everything works like it did on day 1. Most important was Patrick's attention to detail and quality. Patrick has also been back once for some special follow up requests. I don't usually take time to write reviews but McFarland is worth it!

I hired McFarland Electronics to do some audio/video and internet wiring in various rooms in my house, as well as wiring up cameras for the outdoors. Patrick was professional, courteous, and knew what he was talking about. I talked to various electricians and such to find someone who knows the difference between a CAT5 and CAT6 cable and walked away unimpressed. Patrick knew the different to this very basic info and much more. He made recommendations on hardware, suggestions on placement of the wires, and measured out everything by hand to verify it looks good. The work I had done was: - Added CAT6 wiring to 2 rooms, in multiple spots, leading into the basement. - Wired HDMI and other cables through a wall, up to the ceiling, and down the other end for a projector in my living room. - Wired audio and subwoofer cables from the enter of one wall to the various corners of the room for speakers and a subwoofer. - Wired CAT6 cables from the basement to 4 spots on the outside of my house for cameras. - Installed and wired bathroom fans in my upstairs bathrooms. - Re-wired the coax cable for my internet modem from one side of the room to the other, and wired coax cable to the living room in case I add a TV there. On top of all this, he was very understanding when I needed to make changes in between his quote and when he started working, as well as when he was in the middle of the job. He had to some difficult stuff to wire all of this, due to the structure of my 1960's house. I highly recommend him, and plan to call on him again in the future if I ever need more work like this to be done.
