I am not a person who readily complains about a company, but I am afraid C P Hart provided the worst customer experience of my life and I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a more efficient company which shows greater respect for the customer. Although the initial experience in the store was positive, as soon as the order was made the problems began with it emerging that serious errors had been made with the delivery dates for crucial items as well as with the colour for certain equally crucial materials. Unfortunately C P Hart's customer service was quite astonishingly poor in dealing with these issues, regularly failing to get back to me when promised, such that I had to ring them back myself, on one occasion two weeks after the promised appointment to deal with my complaint. At no point was I ever issued an apology for the mistakes made despite the company acknowledging that errors had been made. Quite the contrary, in fact: I was twice subjected to a half-hour interrogation which made me feel as if I was the guilty party, something made all the worse by the fact that these conversations were with the same manager who had apparently forgotten or failed to make any record of the issues I had raised with him the first time round. The huge delays in completing what should have been a very simple order brought up me a great deal of extra expense in terms of builder delays and arranging alternative accommodation when the builders where waiting for essential parts. It became one of the most stressful experiences of my life and one for which C P Hart was not prepared to offer either apology or anything like adequate compensation. Sadly I therefore have to recommend strongly looking to alternative stores.
