We first met Brian through our architect as we were working through a complete house remodel. When it came to cabinetry, we had a few choices including a number of high-end design firms here in San Francisco. At that time, Brian didn't have a showroom in San Francisco and not only would he be working remotely but all the cabinets would be fabricated and shipped from Germany. Going with Brian wasn't the obvious choice at that time but certainly one that we are extremely pleased that we made. We chose Brian on the passion he displayed for design, the attention to detail, and the commitment he was making to our project. Brian designed, delivered and installed custom cabinetry for the entire house including kitchen, bathrooms, family room, media room and office. We spent numerous sessions going through design iterations and Brian was on top of all the details. Sometime later a large shipping container from Germany was delivered to the construction site. Brian and his crew installed all of the cabinets in a matter of days. Given all that can go wrong during a large construction project it was amazing to us that all the cabinets were installed and fit precisely the first time. Working with Brian was one of the smoothest aspects of our entire project. It's been nearly 10 years since we did the remodel and not only do the cabinets still look and function great they continue to draw praise from friends and family.

My husband and I are huge fans of modern design, and we were so excited to find Rifugio Modern, as we were searching for a few key pieces for our new home. We were even more thrilled with Brian, who was extremely professional, knowledgeable and passionate about great architecture and design. Rifugio Modern offers many product lines that are unique and high quality. We ended up purchasing several pieces ranging from bath fixtures, lighting and furniture that work perfectly in our space. Brian’s service and support is top notch, and you can tell he truly cares about his clients satisfaction. Brian assisted us this past winter and helped us finish our basement. Specifically our bathroom and wet bar areas were in need of some creative solutions with all we wanted to include. Brian was more than willing to talk through ideas, and tweak the designs to get the look we were after. He is also very detail oriented and thought of things I would never have come up with on my own.

I have worked with Brian on several projects; both for myself and various design clients. It is such a treat to work with someone who has great taste, can work on the design, provide the product and do the installation. I could not have been happier with both the process and the results.

Brian designed the kitchen of our dreams! In addition to modernizing our home, we wanted a kitchen that reflected the way we live and entertain. I began the process with some ideas in mind, but Brian brought such innovative ideas to the project that we ended up with a kitchen far better than anything I could have imagined at the beginning. Brian anticipated our questions and concerns, and his collaborative approach to the process meant that he was able to customize the design to our preferences and make suggestions that added special touches throughout the project. As a result, our kitchen is totally reflective of our lifestyle and our design aesthetic, and we couldn't be happier with the end result!

My wife and I first had the pleasure of working with Brian at Rifugio Modern 10 years ago. We were so impressed with his design skills and service we decided to forgo a deposit we had already placed on another kitchen supplier and hired Brian to not only design and install our kitchen but all the other mill work and bathrooms in the home. The results were spectacular. To this day, we get complements. Everything held up beautifully and remain a centerpiece of the finishing work in our home. Recently, we were thrilled to reconnect with Brian on a new remodel where Rifugio will handle all the kitchen, bathroom, closets and cabinetry for the home. His service is first rate. Talent second to none.

My husband & I are so please with the work Rifugio Modern did with the interior of our home. Brian did a wonderful job designing & helping us choose all the materials for the total renovation of our kitchen, two baths, flooring through out the house, closet systems & even interior paint colors. The team at Rifugio Modern helped us design and select furniture for our living room. Brian was patient with us and educated us throughout the entire process. We ended up with the Beta couch and Canaletto table by Zanotta as well as the Manta long island table by Rimadesio.
