Merri made our dream kitchen a reality. She transformed our house into a space our family can enjoy and we feel so proud to show everyone! She took us step by step through the process in choosing every detail to make the space incredible. Our space was complex and she found a way to make it useable and beautiful. Every detail was thought through with care and made the process which could have been overwhelming so much easier. We have other spaces we will be updating and Merri is the only person I would trust to make the space become amazing. She listens, collaborates and is so attuned to your vision. I have spent all of my adult life with ugly, old kitchens. Thus, after over 35 years of cooking in suboptimal environments, when the opportunity arose for me to redesign my kitchen, it was a monumental occasion. I spent years dreaming about my ideal kitchen and realized this was a project I should not undertake on my own. I interviewed multiple designers and when Meredith Weiss of Merri Interiors entered my kitchen, she read my needs and dreams immediately. Issues that I could not articulate with the space, she focused on immediately. This began a relationship that was worth every moment of the decades of waiting. Meredith has a unique gift to guide a client’s decisions while allowing the client to be fully vested in every decision. For every hurdle, Meredith had a solution. Not just a resolution, but the perfect idea in amazing speed. Time and time again when I wanted something unique, Meredith had the answer in less than an hour. Every vendor in her network provided outstanding service with exemplary courtesy. Meredith honored my budget. The cabinets we chose were customized to my taste and needs and arrived on time, despite the complications of Covid. Meredith went with me and then suggested vendors until I found the countertop of my dreams. She had a vision for my kitchen floor and persevered until the perfect tile was found. The final room is so magnificent that I still pinch myself every time I enter, not believing that this stunning space is mine! While I am gushing about the aesthetics and practicality of Merri Interiors’ design down to the smallest detail, the best part of engaging Merri Interiors is interacting with Meredith. She has an uncanny memory and remembered precisely each detail of the kitchen and my quirks, despite working on multiple kitchens simultaneously. She provides so much attention that one feels as if one is her only client. In an age when no one pays attention, she listens to her clients intently. Whenever one texted or called, Meredith responded instantaneously with insight. While friends have complained that a kitchen renovation is taxing, Meredith made the process of kitchen design loads and loads of fun!

One of the best decisions we made throughout our entire renovation process was hiring Meredith! Meredith is a true professional; her knowledge and expertise of everything kitchen and design is second to none - she guided us through every decision, big or small, and paid attention to every little detail (including all of the details I would have never thought of) to ensure that our finished product was flawless. I am so in love with my new kitchen! Meredith was so wonderful and knowledgeable! She transformed what had been a small, dark and dysfunctional space into a glamorous, organized dream come true! I can’t rave enough about my experience with Merri interiors. We have gone through the process of fully remodeling almost every room in our house and I was dreading having to do the kitchen due to all of our other experiences and how long each project took. I was blown away that the full gut and remodel of our kitchen was done faster and more efficiently then anything else we did. Before we found Merri we had tried several kitchen designers and were always disappointed. No one seemed to be able to think outside the box and come up with any creative ideas for our space. When people come over they are amazed at the transformation. The Architect came back to revise the plans and literally stopped in his tracks when he walked into the room and said, “WOW”. Our contractor was even impressed with Merri and enjoyed working with her. She was always professional, organized, and had amazing attention to detail. Merri was always present for measuring and all installations. If a problem arose she was immediately on top of it and had it resolved before I even realized there was a problem. We truly enjoyed working with Merri and miss her now that our project is done. She is amazing at what she does and you can easily see how passionate she is about her work. We highly recommend her. Meredith was a pleasure to work with and a consummate professional from day one. We wanted to renovate our kitchen for many years, and we had several ideas about things we really wanted (adding a banquette/kitchen dining space, adding a compact bar space). I have always dreamed about renovating our kitchen, living room and dining room. When we finally had the opportunity, I reached out to Merri because I have been admiring her work for years. The entire process was amazing. Merri worked with us on every detail, and within our budget. Merri has cabinets in every price range and can be highly customizable. Our space is not large, and storage was very important but we also did not want to feel crammed. Merri was successful beyond our expectations with the design. We worked together on every aspect of the renovation and Merri always listened to our ideas and helped us to develop them. Merri is very creative with space, colors and overall design. My husband and I have been struggling to finish the renovation of our kitchen for some time. One day, our contractor gave us the number for Meredith (owner of Merri Interiors) and thank goodness he did! Meredith came to the house for the initial consultation and took measurements of the room. She pointed out a couple of issues we should think about before we closed up our walls and she was spot on. Within days she had a layout for our kitchen. The plans were beyond what I could’ve ever imagined. When it came to picking out cabinets, hardware, counters etc., she took the jumbled mess that was in my mind and put it into perfect perspective and gave me the kitchen of my dreams. As we were planning our renovations, a cousin suggested we give Merri Interiors a call. We decided to work with Meredith after our initial consultation which included her coming to our house and reviewing our architectural plans. We met with Meredith several times and were very impressed with her talent, her ability to understand our style and work within our budget. Her original design was beautiful, and when we decided to change our layout with the architect, she made adjustments immediately. We could not be happier with our new kitchen. Every detail is stunning- from the dining area buffet with floating shelves, the kitchen island, to the pantry around the refrigerator. Last May we started a whole house renovation and addition. A new kitchen, dinning room, a master bath and guest bath were included in the plans. I began my kitchen project knowing I wanted white shaker cabinets, knowing the quartz I would use, and the appliances I would purchase. I was working within the original kitchen footprint, so the layout was pretty much predetermined. So, knowing all that I was quite baffled when a year and MANY consultations later I was still cooking in the same old kitchen! I reached out to Meredith Weiss of Merri Interiors based on the excellent reviews she received on Houzz. I hired Meredith based on an initial phone conversation and then a meeting in which it became clear that she understood the look I was trying to achieve (she asked to see all my pics saved on Houzz), the budget I was working with, and the long list of “wants” that needed to be fit into the physical restraints of the space (a galley kitchen…unfortunately no big islands going into this space). Working with Meredith was a pleasure. There was never a time that I called or texted her with a question or concern that she did not respond immediately. She knows her stuff, is organized, creative and she really listens to and understands her clients (which I think is very important). There were many kitchen designers out there that took my wish list and somehow crammed it all into my space. But I always moved on because although they gave me what I asked for, what they proposed never really looked right (though I couldn’t pinpoint why that was). I finally realized that despite all I thought I knew about what I wanted, there was much, much more I didn’t know. That is why Meredith’s advice, eye for detail, design focus, as well as a vision of the finished product were priceless! The result of her hard work is my beautiful, well-designed kitchen; a space that looks bigger and brighter, and works for me better than I could ever have imagined.

We are at the end of a 7 month gut renovation, including a significant addition to our 101 year old home. We did not initially intend to engage a design professional to assist with the planning of our new kitchen remodel. However, after a number of fruitless efforts at a few kitchen and bath design stores, it became clear that we needed some professional assistance if we were going to get the kitchen of our dreams without driving ourselves crazy. Fortunately, our contractor had just finished a project designed by Meredith Weiss of Merri Interiors. From the first time we met Meredith, we knew she had the skills necessary to take our initial design ideas and elevate them into something truly amazing. She listened to our ideas and offered some suggestions that, quite frankly, we never would have thought of on our own. Once we had an agreed upon plan, Meredith went to work. What she delivered was an amazing design that was consistent with our vision, but refined them into a design that was incredible. In addition, with Meredith on the job, all we had to do was make subsequent design decisions, (e.g., appliances, finishes, etc.). At every step of the process, Meredith made recommendations and guided us to choices that worked with the overall design plan but that stayed true to our original design ideas. She handled everything else, from the cabinet measurements, placing orders for materials (i.e., cabinets, tile, counter tops, drawer and cabinet hardware, etc.). Equally important, Meredith kept the project moving forward every step of the way, giving us a complete timeline for when to order each component and reminders, when necessary, to provide our choices on various finishes. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with our kitchen or the services that Meredith provided. We have already recommended Merri Interiors to a number of our friends and we plan to use her for future projects.

What a nice experience. We felt very comfortable with Meredith from the beginning and didn’t realize how easy a remodel could be. She guided us through the process, did all the ordering, worked out any problems, and was a wealth of knowledge on designing our bathroom. We wish we would have consulted her when we did our kitchen. Even though the kitchen came out nice there were some functionality issues that she would have corrected and some headaches we would have avoided.

I had been planning my dream kitchen renovation for what felt like forever. I had pinned nearly every pin that showed the example of my DREAM KITCHEN. Houzz was my addiction as well. And then when the time finely came to move forward on my dream, I didn't know what to do! So I started by asking friends about contractors. I looked at online reviews for kitchen and bath firms, and finely said to myself there has to be a better way... Meredith is the better way. I found her on this website, sent an email on a Saturday morning and by Saturday afternoon, while at her kid's soccer game, she gave me a call to discuss my dreams and desires. I'm a working mom who makes decisions quickly but doesn't have the time or the expertise to know everything I don't know about kitchen renovations. Meredith made it easier. She introduced me to general contractor candidates, one of which I chose. She gave me options for cabinets, flooring, tile, handles, and everything in between. My project was stressful, but she helped me through that stress by making herself available pretty much night or day whenever I needed to go through my check list. I was on the fence about hiring a designer to help me with the layout and design of my kitchen renovation and have to say it was absolutely the right choice! I started with the local showroom type places.. I gave them my dimensions, basic sketches and drawings, and picked out cabinets. After waiting two weeks, what I got in return was inferior cabinetry, my design with nothing at all added to it, no suggestions or help... and an enormous proposal price!!! I was complaining to a co-worker who was preparing for a kitchen reno herself and she recommended Merri Interiors!! From day one to the end, Meredith was a pleasure to work with. Meredith came to my home to assess my current kitchen and take a look around at my style and needs. We then started the design work. Meredith listened to me, understood and offered suggestions. I could call, text or email at any time and she was readily available or would get back to me very quickly! The products she works with are above custom high end, yet at a very affordable price! She is very energetic and a hard worker.. and a very pleasant nice person which is a bonus!! But the best part about Merri Interiors and Meredith is that she brings a special skill set and knowledge to the plans that other designers just don't have. She understands the building and install piece! Meredith met with my general contractor, and my carpenters on several occasions to review aspects of the design and how it would tie to carpentry and install. They spoke a language I couldn't understand. Things no on would have thought of. In the end, I have the kitchen of my dreams!! No surprises along the way. Merri Interiors - THANK YOU! The creative design, thoughtful space planning and achievement in meeting budget goals are just a few of the reasons why I have hired them again to work on another project for me in my new home. They carefully plan, design and collaborate with me on every project I engage them for and always exceed my expectations. Meredith did an amazing job. I reached out to her after finding her here on Houzz. I was planning a complete kitchen remodel and I had been trying to do it on my own. I figured I could go to one of the big cabinet places and have them do the design for me for free. However, the problem was that they were doing exactly what I told them to do, and I didn't know what the heck I was doing! I'd say "Let's try an island" and they'd add it and I'd look at it and realize it totally didn't work. And that happened over and over. So I decided to hire a designer. I initially intended to just have Meredith do the design for me. She came and looked at my current kitchen, reviewed all of the previous attempts I had made at a design, and we discussed how I utilized the kitchen and adjoining room. Very quickly she had given me a design, and with a few tweaks it was perfect. Even better, after doing more research, I realized that her cabinet and countertop prices were as good as the other places and the quality was better. I ended up giving her my business for that as well. She remained helpful and approachable throughout, advising my contractor on a few things he needed to know. She helped me with my appliance choices and gave her input on the tile I chose. All throughout she added little bits of her excellent advice and wonderful experience. I could not be more thrilled with my kitchen, and with my experience with Merri Interiors. I referred a friend to her just the other day! I first starting using Meredith from Merri Interiors when I was looking to update my kitchen without replacing the cabinets. When I first met Meredith, we clicked and got along great right away. I met with Meredith when I was planning to remodel my kitchen. She was very personable and funny, but most of all, knowledgeable about cabinets and designing. She showed me several "idea boards" that she made for previous clients and I looked forward to working with her on my project. Meredith tried to stay within my budget while trying to fulfill my wishes. She is extremely intelligent when working with the Brighton company cabinets. She met with me several times to discuss the color, layout and extras pertaining to the cabinetry. In the end, we went with a custom color and we worked together to create the perfect layout for my kitchen. Meredith will do as much or as little as you want. If you want her to help you design the cabinetry, she will, however, she will also meet with you to help you pick out granite/quartz, a backsplash, lighting, etc. She was easily accessible and we texted back and forth all the time during the planning and renovation. Meredith was not only an intelligent designer, but a pleasure to work with. In the end, I love the finished product!

My husband and I originally hired Merri from Merri Interiors to help us with design choices for our new kitchen that we were getting ready to start. We immediately felt comfortable with her, so much so that when our relationship with our cabinet maker came to an abrupt end we turned to Merri. She helped us design the entire kitchen/mudroom/pantry/.5 bath from cabinets to floor tile to backsplash to knobs. Every step of the way Merri was available to either offer advice or to go shopping with me. She spent countless hours working with us to make sure it was everything we dreamed of. My biggest fear was that it would look like everyone else's kitchen and she made sure it didn't. She was very good at understanding what our taste is and helped us find compromises when my husband and I couldn't agree. I found the entire project was less stressful because of Merri, not counting the contractor part, that was very stressful. Merri is very easy to talk to and very easy to reach. She always explained what was expected of me and what our timeline was. All aspects that she worked on were at my house exactly if not before they were needed. She also spoke with the contractor and any subs when needed to make sure they were doing what needed to be done to get us to our "design" I would definitely recommend Merri!!

After meeting with Merri we hired her on the spot. She was wonderful. We really had no idea what we wanted to do and Merri just listened to what we said and then gave us ideas. We were thinking about just changing cabinets in the kitchen and she redesigned the kitchen and new bathroom as well. We also had new flooring in the foyer kitchen and bathroom which came out beautiful. We are extremely happy with the way everything came out. We had a pass through from the kitchen into the den that Meredith wanted to enlarge I wasn't so sure but listened to her and it came out great. Merri Interiors created a fabulous design for our kitchen when we had to rebuild our home after Sandy. Meredith gave us guidance, suggestions, and answers to my many questions. She provided us assistance in choosing and ordering a sink; knobs for my cabinet doors; deciding on a counter top; advice for my dinning table and light fixtures… even though this went beyond the initial contract for a kitchen layout/design. (She understood that we were going through a very difficult, stressful time.) After the kitchen project was underway, we also had Meredith design a vanity for the master bathroom, which was a large space. It turned out amazing! Meredith contacted suppliers and provided us samples. I love, love, love everything she did (mostly my kitchen since I enjoy cooking and entertaining—I spend lots of time in it)!!! merri interiors, inc recently completed a large project in my home that included a kitchen, dining room, and den...(an open floor plan)...Right from the start she listened to what I liked (or thought I liked) and based on that she began to create what turned out to be an incredible main level of our home...She handled everything and was on top of it all...she made the required phone calls to the various suppliers (ie cabinet makers, fixture companies, appliance stores etc) and was available at my home when there was a delivery. Throughout the entire project she listened to any thoughts or concerns we had and always worked within the budget that we felt comfortable with. When Merri started working with us the one thing i remember telling her was that I wanted one room to just flow into the other and she certainly did that...she mixed patterns, textures and colors which looks amazing. We initially engaged Merri Interiors for our kitchen renovation. After beginning work with Meredith Weiss on that project we quickly expanded the scope of our project with her to include a bathroom renovation, a mudroom (laundry/office/storage) design and interior design guidance on certain elements in our living, dining and family rooms. We had very specific expectations for our new kitchen design: above all it had to maximize the existing space to provide as much utility and functionality as possible while visually meeting our very defined preferences related to style, color and "vibe". Meredith's design, as well as her lightning-fast responsiveness to all questions or concerns, exceeded our expectations. We cook nightly and elaborately in our kitchen, and are still trying to figure out how Meredith defied the laws of physics by giving us a kitchen space that feels much more spacious than what we had before without increasing the footprint of the kitchen and, at our request, even added a wall to close off the kitchen from the adjacent family room! In addition to providing the best design possible for the space, Meredith also guided us closely in the purchase of the major components of the kitchen (granite, appliances, flooring, tile, cabinetry). All of these items came together like a symphony and right on target with our budget. We just love living in our kitchen! We are also very happy with our bathroom and mudroom, both provide the functionality we needed and the "eye candy" we wanted!

My husband and I don't make decision easily, so when we finally decided to remodel our master bathroom we knew we'd need some help. In the past twelve months, I undertook a major renovation of my home. This was the first time I was involved in a project of this size. The project called for a gut renovation of a majority of the house (while my three sons and I continued to live in the home). This included a complete redesign of the entire first floor (kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom) which involved the removal of a major load bearing wall. We also gut renovated the master bath (adding a laundry closet) and a hall bath on the second floor while redesigning the master bedroom and all common areas of the house. Merri's knowledge of floor layout and modern design concepts allowed for a project with a number of unique twists to come together on time and within the original budget. Merri was flexible in providing advice and guidance on the project while also being careful to incorporate my ideas. She has the ability to take the thoughts/concepts of a client and turn them into reality in the project. My experience is this is not a universal ability for all designers. She was always sure to listen to my requests and take the time to point out the issues these requests can have on the project including timing and budget ramifications. Finally, Merri worked well with a number of subs on the job to be sure that they were following her design concept while the project advanced from the rip out to finish stages. I was highly impressed with her and I continued to use her expertise on the finish work including color design, drapery suggestions as well as furniture and carpeting choices.
