The Kuche+Cucina team
can't wait to take professioanl phtos, but here is some snap shots -
Susan Marie Burris came into our showroom and asked to add a couple of cabinets and a small piece of counter to a kitchen in a house she purchased in Morristown.
After seeing the 50+ year old kitchen, our designer, Carmi Gesner suggested redoing the entire kitchen, as it is in very poor condition (see picture) but customer strongly insisted that's all she wanted.
After the job was done (successfully), Susan Marie Burris decided she now wants to change the counter tops on the rest of the cabinets. Designer Carmi Gesner suggested AGAIN redoing the entire kitchen, but customer was very sure that is all she wants.
Customer decided to do the work while she is out of town and left her mother at home. All dealings were to be done through her… - her mom signed off on all paperwork(!)
Designer instructed customer to have her sink disconnected and to have the new sink on site for the templating of the countertop. Customer did have her plumber run a water line to the new dishwasher but didn’t disconnect the old sink (?!?).
When customer was told that she will have to pay for an extra trip, all hell broke loose… She started screaming and cursing - to make her happy, we agreed to split the cost.
The sink model that the customer purchased herself, has 2 installation options. Her 82-year-old mom chose one and approved it, in writing (we assumed she was speaking to her daughter). On the day of installation, when the customer returned, she didn’t like it and blamed us for cutting for the wrong sink. To make her happy, we agreed to make a new countertop, at no extra charge! She opted to keep countertop with the sink, the way it was done.
Customer Susan Marie Burris has exactly what she purchased from us, yet she is still, so unhappy (?!?). All of the above that could be a reason for heranger and un-happiness, she caused herself, by having the job done while she was away, putting her mom in charge and not communicating with her in the process. She claims we were rude, yet she was screaming and cursing at everyone and hung up the phone 4 different times... She was abusive to everyone that was in contact with her and was completely irrational.
We have been in business for 30 years and have completed thousands of kitchens to date. We have built our business on what is reflected in the many positive reviews we have received over the years.
We did everything right and tried to make Susan Marie Burris happy, even when it was her doing that she was angry about. Perhaps there was simply no way to make her happy…
