We recently worked with Ins and Outs Decorating to renovate our primary bathroom. We couldn’t be happier with the result. Maryjo Eckhard and her team were very easy to work with, reliable, and highly professional. Maryjo expertly guided us through every aspect of the renovation. She helped us stay within a budget while making sure the renovation included the features that were most important to us including a radiant heated floor and larger 2 feet by 4 feet porcelain tiles for our shower and floor. Maryjo also found the perfect quartz slab for our vanity and shower seat that complimented our shower tile. We have received many complements on our renovated bathroom and highly recommend Ins and Outs Decorating!

How do you write a review for someone who changed your world in nine weeks? Upon meeting Maryjo I knew she meant business - within 10 minutes of meeting us and seeing our home she got a feel for our taste, even though our home did not represent an ounce of that taste, and a vision of functionality that we had only ever dreamed of!! I’m a type A personality with control issues but Maryjo proved throughout the planning/project that her vision wouldn’t disappoint and fairly quickly, my need to be in control eased. She took the guesswork out of everything and made the process so much fun. It was a pleasure and less of the daunting task I expected the renovation to be. Maryjo presented us with options, never too many, but if she didn’t see a spark in our eyes she knew it wasn’t “the one” and would continue to search until we were in love with the final choice. Her dedication to our project made us feel as if ours was the only one on her agenda and we know that’s wasn’t the case at all! We planned for months but it never felt overwhelming and the vision came together so that when her team began the work, there would be no surprises. She thinks of everything from design to scheduling the crews. Just when you think it can’t go any better, her team of incredible contractors comes thru the door! With smiles and a warm feeling I can only describe as welcoming an old friend, they bring her vision to life and do so as tidily as possible. We work from home and were there through the entire process yet not once did someone present a problem to us. They went directly to Maryjo for a solution which always fit the bill, literally and figuratively. By the end we trusted Maryjo so implicitly that we gave her carte blanche to choose the paint colors for the house. Yet again, we were pleasantly surprised and still she checked with us before making the final choice. She educated us throughout the process, never steering us in any one direction but wanting us to have all options and the knowledge to make the appropriate decision, for example granite versus quartz. Although we did not agree on refrigerator choice, again she did not steer us away from our preference but made it fit perfectly and in the end I think she even grew to like it! I would recommend Maryjo and her incredible talent and team in a heartbeat! In fact, what are you waiting for!?!

We have a 100-year-old home, and our primary bathroom was in desperate need of a makeover. We partnered with Maryjo Eckhard, owner of Ins & Outs Decorating for our project. During our initial discussions we started with simple ideas but when you are collaborating with Maryjo her experience and skill with design immediately become apparent. Maryjo and her team of contractors did a fabulous job on the update of my powder room and laundry room. Maryjo and the team did a great job redecorating our first floor living space. She dramatically simplified the selection of furniture, color palettes, rugs, small décor pieces, etc. Plus, she suggested some changes we hadn't thought of (e.g., changes to trim, alternative lighting ideas) that really made the redesign feel cohesive, polished, and fine. She coordinated the efforts of carpenters, painters, electricians, tiling folks, masons, window treatment installers, upholsterers, and others, which would have taken forever for us to navigate on our own. And even without providing any real direction on budget, she was very thoughtful about where to invest more versus where to invest less. All in all, we got a better product than we set out to get at a very acceptable cost.

When we were ready to update our 1990’s era kitchen and first floor, it was overwhelming – we wanted a cohesive design and didn’t know where to begin. Hiring Maryjo Eckard of Ins & Outs Decorating was an excellent decision for so many reasons. Not only is she a talented designer with a wealth of ideas, but she has an outstanding team of contractors to handle cabinetry, construction, electrical, flooring, painting, stairs and railings, granite, and tile. They are all excellent at their crafts, show up on time, explain what they’re doing, and are genuinely nice people that we enjoyed getting to know. Maryjo took us shopping and helped us make countless decisions, which would have been very difficult on our own, and then managed the entire project from start to finish. She was even able to schedule work on our staircase while we were away for several days, saving us a lot of inconvenience, and we really appreciated that. The end result is beautiful and we are thrilled with our new kitchen and first floor. When I decided it was time to redo my second floor (two bathrooms, two bedrooms) Maryjo Eckhard of Ins &Outs came highly recommended by one of my neighbors. It was the best decision I could have made. Besides taking me to pick out everything needed (which was really fun!) she scheduled all of the work and the job was finished in 9 weeks, which was actually faster than I anticipated. Her biggest asset is the group of subcontractors who work with her. They were all professional and precise and such nice guys! I would highly recommend her and hope to utilize her services to redo my kitchen!

In and Outs Decorating exceeded my expectations. They are so easy to work with, are concerned about details and above all they truly listen to you. When asked, they are happy to share suggestions. The curtains and bench cushions created by Ins and Outs complete my family room. I could not be happier.

I cannot say enough positive things about Ins and Outs. Our kitchen do over was a challenging one - as are most projects in a 250 year plus home. The key to any remodeling job in an older home as unique as ours is to update without sacrificing the integrity of the structure. It takes talented, creative, appropriate team. Mary Jo Eckhard brought it all. Wonderful design - optimum use of space - realizing our wish to have a room that brought the outdoors in - to have a cooks' kitchen. She and her team were a dream to work with - managing the project from start to finish- finding creative solutions when many would just have thrown in the towel. There is nothing in the final makeover to disappoint. Adjectives range from "exquisite" to "spacious". There is no way we would do another project without Ins and Outs.

Maryjo, of Ins & Outs Decorating is an excellent interior designer with plenty of great ideas. But she also knows how to listen and take your own ideas and tastes into consideration. Not only that, but she brings with her a stable of professional contractors who do fantastic work, including her assistant, Mary, who helps with colors and ideas as well. Any project you do, kitchen, bathroom, sheetrock, windows, flooring, tile, painting, plumbing, electrical, etc., she's "got a guy". In essence, Maryjo works as your general contractor throughout the entire project, leaving the client to relax, at least as much as you can when you undertake renovations! We have been very happy with the design decisions that were made, the quality of workmanship performed and the help in finding the right style, the right colors and the right furniture for our home. For a brief scope of work, we completely renovated two bathrooms, installed new windows throughout the house, painted the entire house, installed new carpet as well as sanded and stained a wood floor, installed new ceiling lights, purchased new furniture for the living room and family room, and refaced our fireplace. There is not a project this company cannot handle. You will not be unhappy when you hire Ins & Outs Decorating.

Maryjo and her team at Ins & Outs Decorating were amazing. They turned a 12-year-old master bedroom that received no love over the years into a warm comfortable hotel like oasis. Maryjo really took time to listen to our wants and needs and curated a design that went way above our expectations. She managed the whole project with a team of experienced vendors who were in lock step with her every move. Maryjo was a great communicator and was such a pleasure to work with. We are thrilled with the end result and are now searching for more projects in the house that we can work with her on!!
