How would we turn the dining area / living area / office area into something aesthetically pleasing yet functional, and coordinated yet unique? Enter Fusion Interiors. Sarah and her team helped us nail down the "transitional" style we were seeking and ensured the pieces we chose were both comfortable and functional. Before jumping into the design, Sarah spent time getting to know us as people to understand how we would use the space. Then from design to delivery, Sarah and her team were always professional, responsive, open to our input, and effectively communicated timelines.

Could not be happier with our new home! Working with Sarah was effortless and fun. She has excellent taste. She is creative and took the time to learn about our likes and dislikes. She was conscientious about cost saving as well which we appreciated. We live out of town and appreciated having her local Support throughout the design process. Sarah Sumner at Fusion Interiors assisted us in a complete renovation of a 25-year old, 4,000 sq. ft. home-- with a fantastic view. Sarah used that view, as well as our tastes in design and aesthetics as a theme in her recommendations. We are extremely pleased with the results. Importantly, Sarah made the process both enjoyable and a learning experience. She is a consummate professional. When we started the renovation, Sarah spent time with us to understand our tastes (a mix of Southwest US and Scandinavian-modern) and incorporated that understanding into all of the options she presented to us and in her recommendations. We often commented during the process how well she seemed to know what we would like, and Sarah saved us countless hours in deciding on and selecting fixtures, appliances, and construction materials. On the rare occasion when we were not particularly keen with an option or recommendation, she cheerfully went 'back to the drawing board' and came back with revised or additional options to consider. Sarah kept us, and the many suppliers and vendors, on schedule and on track over the course of a year. She worked seamlessly with our (also fantastic) contractor to assure that our ideas and vision were implemented into an old house- - which became a gorgeous new home. After she completed her services in interior design, Sarah has helped us with some wonderful new furnishings—window coverings, furniture, and rugs. We would heartily recommend Sarah to anyone seeking experienced, knowledgeable, creative and very talented assistance in designing or renovating a home in Southwest Colorado.

I was worried about the choices I was presented with. I, however, am admittedly not good at this sort of thing. Even knowing that I still pushed back hard. Sara assured me and my real estate agent also agreed with her. I got more options and went with her original. I was very reluctant to spend 10's of thousands of dollars on a paint job that I could not see the vision of. I did it on faith. Let me just say that I was so happy I did. Sarah Sumner did a great job and I was very lucky to have her and very lucky she told me (with conviction) that it would look great. I have known Sarah Sumner for 4 years. She is so easy to work with. She has excellent ideas and creates beautiful interiors. Our first project was a guest house built primarily for my daughter and her family when they visit. It is beautiful. The next project was my master bath in the main house. Sarah was great! She worked with 3 siblings, who live out of town, on a vacation home. She was able to incorporate all of our different tastes into a wonderful end product. Sarah is the only interior designer I know who is LEED accredited, which is important when specifying products that will not cause the client health issues, and that are environmentally responsible. Fusion Interiors helped me renovate and redesign the interiors on my family's ranch, including the main log home, guest quarters, and a new build-out of a barn into a new guest cottage/second main house. Nothing had really been updated since 1989 and my husband and I were frankly overwhelmed. Fusion understood exactly what areas needed the most attention, where we could re-use certain pieces, either by reupholstering or restaining/repainting, and got things done quickly and professionally. The kitchens and bathrooms benefited the most from Fusion's savvy use of textures and lighting. The rustic log cabin look is thoroughly modernized and has a more sophisticated urban-country look to it that my family and friends love. The compliments are unending! Fusion worked well with my husband and me via email and through houzz to pick furnishings and really nail down our look. Fusion worked closely and seamlessly with our architect, contractor, and ranch crew.

Sarah, and her assistant Brittany, exceeded our expectations on a large and complex home decorating and furnishing project. After purchasing a historic home in Durango, we engaged Fusion Interiors to furnish and decorate our home. We started with an empty house, which was a bit overwhelming, and we were handling much of this remotely. We were looking for a partner who could understand our style, bring in ideas and suggestions, respect the historic nature of our home, while bringing in a more rustic, contemporary edge. Sarah brought in great ideas, narrowed options, presented fabulous color palettes and fabrics, and when the time came, organized the selection of wonderful local art that put the finishing touches on our home! And not only did Sarah and her team bring in creative and fun ideas, she also used her organization and communication skills to keep everything on track, to keep us informed, and to meet our move-in deadlines. Sarah has a rare combination of creative and organization skills! Sarah also used her network to bring in resources to address any need that we had, from building an amazing display wine cellar, upgrading light and plumbing fixtures, silver-leafing the turret, and framing art. My husband and I enjoyed Sarah's sense of humor, and found she and Brittany a real pleasure to work with. Our home is amazing, and we highly recommend Fusion!!

Fusion Interiors did the interior design for my new home. They assisted the architect in selecting finishes for floors, cabinets, countertops, and tile. They selected and purchased all of the furniture and window coverings. I was extremely pleased with the results. The bathroom floors, showers, and countertops were beautifully coordinated and exactly the looks that we were hoping to achieve. We were especially happy that they were able to select a mix of furnishings such that we had a few really special, unique, custom-built pieces, but stayed within a very tight budget by finding value purchases in less critical areas of the home. Our house is very contemporary, but it is located in the mountains, so the project was made more challenging by our desire to have a slightly rustic look within the overall contemporary design. Fusion Interiors did an excellent job in helping us to achieve this. We would recommend this firm unconditionally.

Sarah did a wonderful job helping us chose the right window coverings for our home. The colors are perfect and the function of the shades is exactly what we were looking for. Her installer did a great job and the shades look like the windows were designed for them. Her eye for good fabric colors and accents helped make our new pillows for the sofa and bed be the "pop" that we needed in the rooms.

I had never used an interior designer before and so wasn't sure what to expect when I started. What I got from Sarah was far more than I ever imagined. She not only lent her creative genius to the project but also was a trusted advocate and advisor in navigating the complicated development process. My husband and I have had the pleasure of working with Sarah for the past several months on a remodel/upgrade of a condominium we purchased at Cascade Village in Durango for rental and personal use.
