Luxury Desert Interior Designer and Decorator- 3X Best of Houzz!

After years in the corporate world I followed my desire to express my creativity. Over 34 years ago I decided to strike out on my own. I established an interior design firm, Duende Designs, Inc. The firm successfully served clients in the greater Boston and New England areas now in Palm Springs, CA, Southern California counties, Florida, and New York. From my corporate experience I transferred the valuable assets of attention to detail and impeccable follow through. Duende Designs, Inc. garnered, several times, the Best of Show Award at the prestigious New England Home Show and was selected by many benefit events to set up show houses. For many years Duende Designs, Inc. was selected for the coveted "Designer On Call" program at the Boston Design Center. In 2000 my husband and I decided to relocate to La Quinta, Southern California, to enjoy year around sunshine and golf. Duende Designs, Inc. with talent, experience and a refreshingly attitude free approach to interior design, quickly gained a West Coast following. Projects included interior design assignments at the Big Horn Golf Club,, The Hideaway, Indian Ridge Country Club, The Citrus, PGA West, Andalusia Country Club, Desert Horizons, Rancho La Quinta and many more. Duende Designs, Inc. clients, on both coasts agree, working with Carol Adolph is "just plain fun". Carol has an excellent eye and our desert home is uncluttered, streamlined, and very pretty thanks to her. I very much enjoyed working with Carol. She had excellent ideas, considered the cost of the products and followed through on everything. I was not in the city when the remodeling was done and Carol handled it without my having to get involved which made it easy as I work full time. Everything was done on a timely basis. Our guests highly compliment the look and most important, it is modern yet comfortable. Carol listened to our wants and followed through with the ideas. We are already moving on to the second phase.

I can't say enough about Carol!!!the fact that this is the third time I have used her, over a period of "thirty" years, should really say it all...before I mention the fact that she is professional beyond the beyond, I must say that she is purely and simply, easy to work with...she has knowledge of ALL aspects of a design project, but that speaks to her years in the business...she is respectful of other opinions, but really knows her stuff, so keep that in mind...hopefully I will be around long enough to use her, yet again, on another project...Brava to Ms. Carol!!!!!

I met Carol Adolph of Duende Designs, Inc., over two years ago when I purchased a second home in Palm Desert, California. She was introduced to me by the realtor who sold me the home. For over two years Carol and I have worked together, with Carol's leadership overseeing all of the projects involved. These projects included an entire interior renovation of the home, with new floors, countertops, fireplace, area rugs, lighting, painting, draperies, etc., as well as outdoor work. In addition to the interior renovations, I also purchased all new furniture both inside and outside from her. When I first started the remodeling project, I did not know to what extent I would redo the home. I am glad that I have done everything! Carol and I worked together long distance, as I do not live in the Palm Desert home full time. Carol was always on top of all of the projects that were taking place at the time, and her communication with me throughout the entire job was always punctual and professional. In fact, Carol is still involved with projects taking place right now. Carol's taste is impeccable, and she listens to the client's likes and dislikes so professionally. I cannot tell you the number of people who have come into this home and given glowing opinions of the interior and overall design. That is a tribute to Carol's great taste!! I give the highest recommendation possible for Carol and her company, Duende Designs.

Carol is a delight to work with! She is professional, proficient and OUTSTANDING at what she does! Also, despite being 3 time zones away (2nd home) and 2,500 miles apart, Carol makes working with her effortless, and is often on the job site keeping the builder on task as our eyes and ears on the job. We have used many decorators over the years, but have found Carol to be an absolute gem and unlike others, she works with your budget to give you the biggest "bang for your buck". I have worked with Duende Designs on two different projects in the Tradition Golf Club. Carol was responsible for the planning and execution of interior design for both houses, and I provided the custom cabinetry. She is a consummate professional who is clear about what works and what does not, and pays great attention to the details that make a project go smoothly. She has a natural talent which she has honed over the years to help her customers create the exact look they want. On top of that she is fun to work with!

Our new vacation home in La Quinta, Ca. needed to be interior designed and decorated. As we reside the desert on a seasonal basis we searched for an interior designer who can follow our taste and preferences. Knowledge of reliable resources to manage the project while we are absent, was a major consideration. Carol Adolph of Duende Designs, Inc. performed admirably and to our entire satisfaction in all phases of the project. Carol works "hands on" ensuring timely completion within budget guidelines. Our compliments to her. She created a comfortable living environment. To to our family it feels like home.

We met Carol at a neighborhood tour of remodeled homes. We liked what we saw at the home she had remodeled and our adventure began. Carol took the framework of our ideas and expanded and helped us modify them to achieve the home-away -from-home we wanted. She heard what we said and helped us clarify our thoughts and ideas. Since we would not be present for a lot of the work Carol was there to make sure the project stayed on track. Not only were we pleased to have a talented designer but also someone who was able to work with all the subcontractors to assure that we got the results we desired. We uses many of her recommended subcontractors whom we had individual contracts with. Their professionalism and commitment to quality workmanship gave us a home that we love. Carol is upbeat, very professional and personable. Her creative mind and clear vision were invaluable to us. We would, and have, highly recommend her for your next design project.
