Dixieline Lumber & Home Centers

Do not ever do business with Dixieline Lumber. They are horrible. Almost a year ago, I ordered two new patio doors for my living room and dining room. I waited seven months for the doors to come. When they finally did, they did come with the hardware. Waited for the hardware to come. Finally, the doors were installed and were 1/4 to 1/2 inch too short at the bottom. To hide the fact that the doors were not installed or measured correctly, they added another piece of lumber to the threshold. I now have a 2-1/2 inch threshold on doors that open onto a concrete patio around my pool. It is an accident waiting to happen! Who in their right mind would install doors that are operational and used all the time when we are entertaining this way? The original doors were low profile. It never occurred to me that I would have to tell Dixieline or their contractor that the doors should be low profile! There ought to be a law in the American for Disabilities Act that all doors, regardless of commercial or residential installation, should be low profile for accessibility and safety. To top it off, my husband is disabled and walks with a cane or walker most of the time. I am livid. I will never do business with Dixieline Lumber again. The cost of the doors was also very inflated. The doors are still not painted, and I refuse to remove the tags even because Dixieline should be doing something to make this right.

Janine Penner helped design our kitchen in 2013. It has been almost two years, and we still absolutely love it (It is the Schwartz picture on the website). I am attaching the horrid before photo. Janine was one of the only stress free parts of this process. Everything came when she said it would, and her calculations and design were flawless. She is a great kitchen designer! Love my kitchen!!!!!!
