We just completed a kitchen addition and renovation with Chesapeake Kitchen and are thrilled with the results. We renovated our kitchen with this company, and we are very pleased with the results. The entire process was a pleasant experience. Fernando Alban, the president and designer, was very patient and helpful: he listened, explained all the steps, and offered his expertise and suggestions. He worked closely with us to make sure that the final design was exactly what we wanted. He provided us with detailed calculations of costs and options. The craftsmen who did the installation had many different skills, and the quality of their work was superb. They were courteous, punctual, friendly and considerate. The preparation work was impressive: the work area was sealed off, the floors were protected with hard cover, and there was minimal dust in the other rooms. They helped us to set up a small kitchenette in the living room. They left the work area very clean after each day’s work. The entire process took two months, which included Christmas and New Year holidays (it was our choice to renovate in that period). Project: substantial renovation to a historic DC row house, including the addition of a master bathroom and laundry room along with multiple walls moved. Chesapeake deserves all 5 stars for our project. The company was TIMELY, PROFESSIONAL, and ON BUDGET. I am a very picky person, and I was floored to consistently experience top craftsmanship applied to our home. Fernando was very helpful with the design, but never pushy. Chesapeake went above and beyond to seal off the non-construction areas to contain the dust and also covered all of our floors for added protection. They knew that my wife suffered from asthma and took action throughout the project to make sure that she was ok. You can tell that Fernando (the owner) has many years in the business and never cuts corners. He was also always reachable. If you want a top-quality, honest renovation in DC (and around it), I would definitely recommend Chesapeake Kitchen. I would definitely hire them again. Fernando Alban and his talented team at Chesapeake Kitchen Design transformed my tired pea-green galley kitchen to an oasis of beauty and function. The crew was efficient and courteous, completing the project on budget and on time - with no surprises. As a self-employed consultant working from a home office, I was relieved to be able to conduct business throughout the process with minimal disruption. Even better, as the renovation took place during the busy holiday season, I was able to leave everything in Fernando's capable hands when I went out of town for several weeks, confident that all would go well in my absence...and it did. I have used Chesapeake Kitchen Design twice, once for my kitchen and recently for my basement remodel. I could not be happier with the folks from Chesapeake! I like to be involved, or at least feel that way, having done a number of remodels at other properties. Chesapeake enables me feeling involved and the guys could not be nicer. Very professional, lots of experience, great materials sourcing. I suspect basements have challenges with unusual layouts and protruding pipes, ductwork, etc. They did a great job managing all this and were able to remodel the existing layout so that I have much more usable space that is just beautiful. I hope to log back in here to provide pictures. My kitchen was done 10 years ago and it still looks great - timeless. I imagine the basement will be the same way.

We have used Chesapeake Kitchen Design on 2 kitchens. Both involved design and selecting and ordering cabinets. The first also involved installation of the cabinets. In both cases Fernando and his staff were pleasure to work with and the work was started and ended in a timely fashion with high quality. The few problems were addressed quickly and with a customer first approach. I would recommend this company without hesitation.
