Ed and his team from Best Kitchens and Baths were top notch when it came to our bathroom remodeling project. He was able to work with us and the budget that we had. He didn't pressure or "talk-over" our decisions like other contractors when we were getting estimates. His crew was on time, acted professional, and cleaned up everyday when their work was done. I can recommend Ed McGarvey and Best Kitchens & Baths with no reservations whatsoever. I bought a 30 yo condo and did a complete kitchen renovation, went high end on the appliances, … combi-steam and speed ovens, warming drawer, under-counter wine cooler, sleek ventilation hood, modular cook tops. There were several uncommon features, a drain spout underneath an electric barbeque, plumbing for a steam oven, tight clearances on modular cooktops, removal of a soffit with hidden duct work. Ed brought years of knowledge and insight into these details, handled everything with ease, and kept in touch to collaborate during the design phase. The final result was better than I ever could have imagined. Comments from friends and neighbors prove the point, “I feel like I’m in a showroom,” (my RE agent). “This is the sleekest kitchen I’ve ever seen,” (a dedicated cook). “Very well done” (the high-end appliance manufacturer’s design consultants). “You’ve knocked it out of the park …” (a condo neighbor). The results unknowingly raised the stakes with my condo neighbors, they now want to redo their kitchens once they saw what is possible. Having hindsight in looking back, I’d never think of using anyone else, nor would I ever recommend to friends anyone other than Ed.

We are return customers. When we decided to convert the pre-fab small plastic shower in the master bathroom to an accessible open shower, we called Ed. He has the ability to convert a vision into beautiful affordable designs and worked closely with the team to ensure the quality of the job. We also remodeled a powder room with wallpaper and shelving into a room with tiled wall, recessed shelving and embedded mirror. The team was clean and efficient and we are very happy with the results.

Ed at Best Kitchen and Bath helped me design my dream kitchen. He knew what would work and how to design the space so I got exactly what I wanted. This knowledge only comes with years of experience. There is a wide variety of cabinets and price points in his showroom. I hired Ed again for my bathroom vanities. He is easy to work with and I recommend Best Kitchen without reservation.

We hired Best Kitchens and Baths to do a complete renovation of our kitchen. The design was primarily done by Ed Stein, who has since retired from the company, but the complete implementation was managed by Ed McGarvey. McGarvey was meticulous, organized and a pleasure to work with. He came up with creative design ideas when duing construction our old house posed unexpected challenges, and he made sure all the work was carefully and correctly measured and installed. All of the contractors he found for us did skillful, neat work. In particular, Howard Goldblatt, the general contrator, was fabulous. Our renovation included a mudroom addition, the removal and moving of walls and ceilings and the relocation of the kitchen and sitting areas. I wanted two islands, one for cooking and one (slightly lower since I am short) for baking. Not only do these two islands serve their cooking purposes, they are perfect for serving at large parties, and they look beautiful. The project took longer than anticipated, mostly because of structural surprises, and McGarvey and Goldblatt set us up with a fully functioning temporary kitchen for Thanksgiving. I would recommend Best Kitchens and Baths to anyone.

We turned to Best Kitchens & Baths at the recommendation of another contractor, whom we trust. Ed McGarvey was the Best principal with whom we worked. We already had a good idea of what we wanted, but he began the project - a complete gutting and redo of our master bathroom - by taking precise measurements and drafting 3-D drawings of the proposed layout. This was invaluable insofar as it confirmed for us what was possible in the space available, and what was not. From that point, Ed's process is to require selection of all tiles, cabinetry, fixtures, etc. before he drafts up the proposed contract. Ed pointed us in the direction of cabinets, vanities and fixtures we might like, and even met us at the tile shop to walk us through the selection process there. Again, this was invaluable, as we would have been trying to make selections in the dark without his guidance. He then drafted up a very detailed contract. Finally, he assigned a top-notch crew of 3 craftsmen to the project, who handled all aspects of the work and stayed with the project continuously from demolition to fine finishing work, and whose workmanship, professionalism, and ability to adjust and deal with "surprises" (inevitable in a 90-year-old house) was second to none. The result is spectacular. We're very, very pleased.

We hired Best Kitchen and Bath to design and oversee our compete kitchen renovation . We were extremely pleased! Ed took our small, outdated space and gave us a beautiful and functional kitchen. Every aspect was planned specifically with our family needs in mind. Ed oversaw the entire project to completion and worked with the contractors to ensure perfection . He worked within our budget and there were no surprise costs along the way .
