Have you ever felt overwhelmed to the point of decision paralysis from too many choices? Or maybe you started a project and simply don’t have the time or energy to finish it. My name is Ricci Jackson and I created Your Design partner for busy homeowners like you. My goal is to help save you time, reduce overwhelm and avoid design missteps. What makes Ydp different than other design firms is the simplicity of our focus. We design living spaces that evoke emotion and enhance them with custom window treatments for the ultimate finishing touch. I believe that on a very fundamental level, improving your home atmosphere not only transforms your living environment, but it can also transform you. You might find yourself feeling, happier, refreshed, relaxed or so proud of your home that you want to invite your friends over more often. Ricci at YDP helped me with a large project. We added and re-finished hardwood flooring, bought new furniture, repainted, added new window treatments and lighting. I was very happy with the results of our project. Ricci was professional, knowledgeable and helpful througout the process. She took time to understand what it was I wanted to accomplish. She always listened to, and repeated back to me whatever questions or concerns I may have had, my likes and dislikes, etc. She was helpful, proactive and diligent with all aspects of the project, including, furniture choices, accessories, fabrics, rugs & color schemes. She was always open to any ideas/suggestions from me, but would also give me other options to consider, aways leaving the choices to me. Ricci was very quick to respond to questions or concerns, and she was patient with all the decision making and changes that occured along the way. When there were issues that arose with contractors, she was on top of things and made sure things got taken care of quicky. On a personal level, I enjoyed working with Ricci. She has a great sense of humor, so she was fun to work with.

It was a pleasure working with Ricci from start to finish. She is highly collaborative, incredibly organized, and passionate about what she does. She convinced me to step out of my comfort zone and completely transformed my boring living room into a chic oasis. Ricci also effortlessly blended different textures and colors to create the perfect setting for my office and dining room. I can't stop looking at my office! My office looks like it belongs in a magazine! I highly recommend Ricci and her team for your design needs. You will not be disappointed!

Ricci's super power is to really understand her clients. She really listens to your needs and wants and offers options that you would've never thought of. The first project I did with her was my son's room, to take it from a kid's room to the room of a teenager. A relatively "simple" project but I was lost and I didn't know what to do. I was frustrated with the lay out and the lightning. She came up with design options that really reflected my son's interests and personality (wow!). He loves his room and I love seeing him growing in it. Looking forward to continue working with her!

Her strong communication skills, both with clients and contractors, keeps everyone informed and working in harmony. I never saw her get flustered, but was always ready to pivot to meet goals and expectations. I had the pleasure of working with Ricci to design the living room, dining room and master bedroom in my new home. She is incredibly detail- oriented and really took the time to understand what I wanted in my new space. She provided me lots of options to choose from and did not hesitate to revise the proposed plan for my bedroom when I had reservations about the original plan. The partners that Ricci works with did EXCELLENT work. Everything was done with such care - from the window treatments, custom blinds and wallpaper. I was absolutely floored during the final reveal. I went above my original budget but I could not be happier with the results.

Bed room/living room makeover

Wow!! I was blown away by Ricci’s ability to decipher my style without me being able to put it into words. She was so professional, detailed and really cared about what I wanted in my home. My bedroom and living room turned out exactly like I envisioned. Bonus, she made sure to keep my fur baby in mind too.

It was so wonderful to work with Ricci. She was very professional yet personal throughout the entire process. This was my husband and I first time going with an interior designer, so of course we were very nervous. After our first meeting we knew that everything was going to be ok. Everything just worked; colors, wallpaper (it is amazing), drapery, accent rugs and furniture pieces. Ricci listened to our wishes and created a warm and cozy space that we just absolutely love ❤!

I loved working with YDP. This was my first time working with a professional designer and it was a lot less stressful than I thought. It honestly was so simple, I felt like I was working with a close friend. During the process Ricci was very accommodating when it came to options, schedules, budget etc, you name it she just went with the flow. I am building my dream home this year and can't wait for Ricci to start working on a few rooms for us. If you are looking for a designer that will really work with you and form a partnership with you during the experience its Ricci. I honestly felt like I was her only client with the level of communication and attention to detail.

Ricci has completed two rooms for us and we are pleased with the results. She is patient, flexible and committed to delivering on design objectives. This was our first experience with a designer and she explained every step of the process. My husband and I could not agree on a specific design which delayed the project repeatedly but Ricci was extremely patient and supportive throughout the process. It started with a questionnaire, then an interview, then she came back with an e-design to give us an idea of the direction she was planning. This helped us to visualize the room, placement of furniture and the general decor. I was nervous throughout the process but when she completed the final room installation, it was breathtaking to say the least. Her eye for the accents she used, the different textures and layers were amazing. I was so happy with the results, I hired her to complete my home office which turned out equally as impressive. I highly recommend Ricci for any size project you are planning and she works well within your stated budget. Give her a try, you will be satisfied with the results.

Ricci was great to work with and I felt that she really got who I was and was able to carry that over into the design of my dining and living room. One of the things I liked was the collaboration of working together and knowing that she wouldn't steer me in the wrong direction. I personally like to see options and she did just that. My problem was that I like too many styles and it was difficult to pull them all together but Ricci gave me options that would have looked great with anyone that I choose but it allowed me to see different pieces. I felt that the outcome is a piece of me and I couldn't be happier!

Where do I start? I had and continue to have a great experience with YDP and Ricci Jackson. We have lived in Mason thirty six years and have used other designers. Once I reviewed the YDP's web site I decided to contact Ricci. I'm so happy I did. I was working on redecorating my living room and dining room. I had reached a point early in the project when I needed advice. Once I made the connection with Ricci Jackson she helped me end up with two great rooms! Ricci had an excellent way of finding out what else I wanted to still do with the rooms and likewise what I didn't want to do. Ricci never took over the project. She made suggestions and presented multiple options. Ricci brought up design ideas that I never would have otherwise considered. Ricci asked great questions that prompted me to figure out where I wanted to go with the rooms. I would never have been able to accomplish what we did without YDP and Ricci Jackson. Everything was also accomplished in a timely manner. Currently I have contacted YDP and Ricci Jackson again for additional decorating advice!
