I think I was one of Tims first clients and he helped us pull together a plan for our house that we have been following ever since. He did our basement and our bathroom (Langley) as well as helped pull together a simple plan to tie together our house while we saved for future projects. He always comes up with innovative ideas and suggestions that make your space special - he has an amazing sense for how to best utilize space - particularly in old homes. He is a delight to work with and people constantly ask me if we had a designer for our house and for his name - which of course I give. My only regret is that I can't afford to have Tim do my house from top to bottom ! But am saving for that next project which I wouldn't have anyone else do.

Timothy Johnson and his superstar team (Debra & Tori) transformed my weathered, run-down, duck-wallpapered 1960’s Lake Muskoka cottage into a northern dream escape. The redesign (understatement) included a structural overhaul and total interior redesign of the kitchen, bathroom living room and bedroom. They expertly managed every step of the process delivering on time and on budget – a delightful, hassle-free experience for me as I am a workaholic and far too busy for my own good. But most impressive was the thoughtful design. From furniture to fixtures to fabric they blew me away with their inspired approach that perfectly fit my style and brief. I am extremely particular in my tastes and they nailed it every time. You can check out the finished product on their website tjdesign.com …the only thing missing from their pictures is me smiling with a Hendrick’s and tonic in hand.

Tim and Deborah worked with us on several rooms in our house. Originally we had planned to only use them to design our living room space but they had such great vision and ideas and were able to understand and work with our style so well, that we ended up hiring them to do additional rooms as well. From smaller projects, to larger spaces Tim and Deborah were fantastic. They have transformed our home into a space that we love both from a style and a comfort perspective. I would highly recommend them and plan to use them again as well for future projects.

We have used Timothy Johnson for several projects in the past few years (for both our cottage and our house in Toronto).
Tim is very energetic, fun and has great ideas. He respected our wishes and our budget, achieving great results. He has a great perception of design, colour and space, while keeping with the functionality and purpose of the rooms. Both Tim and Debra got to know our kids and were able to design their bedrooms to suite their needs and personalities. While designing our kitchen, Tim maintained the need for durability, functionality and style. The trades he recommended were professional, respectful and on time.
We found the entire process to be easy, stress free and most of all, fun.

When my husband and I got married and moved in together, it became quite clear that our design tastes were not the same. I love clean lines and all things modern, while he is a traditionalist who loves antiques. Despite my best efforts, I just could not get our different styles to come seamlessly together in our home. I was desperate for help, so I hired Tim Johnson Design. The team was amazing! They managed to marry our modern and traditional tastes and create spaces that we both LOVE. We were so happy with their work that we have been clients of Tim Johnson Design for over 5 years now. They have done everything from redesign our living room and dining room to complete renovations of our kitchen and master bathroom. Not only have I been very pleased with their attention to detail and level of quality, but they are also delightful to deal with and true professionals in design. I would highly recommend them.

We had a super time working with Tim and his ladies. Every moment with them was fun and efficient. I never felt like they wasted our time or our money. They seemed to just get it...
We LOVE our new kitchen! We adore all of our new bathrooms! Our kids bedrooms look like they're out of the page of a design magazine (or HOUZZ)! The lighting in our house has changed our lives! AND we can't wait till fall to get started finishing the rest of our home.
In all, this team is strong, amazing to work with, and overall just fantastic! TIM JOHNSON and his gang are kind of a big deal :)
