Building a relationship that allows him to truly understand what you want, and offering the guidance and inspiration to make it happen. Working in creative fields his whole career, David fuses his ability to create inspiring concepts with detail-oriented project management through every step of the process. One of the first to receive a Master’s Degree in Interior Design from Harrington College, he helped shape and influence the well-renowned program, and continues to do so. I needed to start from zero and fully decorate and furnish my condo. I met with David with a few magazine pictures and a very tight time frame, indicating "Speed over perfection!" Well, he absolutely nailed my style and the project was completely done in about 10 weeks. Amazing! I put a lot of pressure on him, but he delivered!. All of my visitors always comment on my place; and, what a reflection it is of me. But, I have to confess it was all David!

David Thompson has taken our house from okay to, "Oh WOW!" I would come to David with an idea and he would take it to the next level, in a way that I could not have throught of myself and in a way I loved! He has exemplified the definition of professionalism from beginning to end, responsive every step of the way. My husband and I enjoy the new look of our home every day and as I look around at one beautiful touch after another, I feel grateful for his assistance and fine taste.

While David has a good decorating eye his attention to design detail is lacking. Our kitchen cabinets had to be installed/reinstalled three separate times. His invoicing process was sketchy. There was never any consistency to this process and while designer pricing was supposed to be passed onto the customer, we have no idea it it truly was, as we rarely saw invoices. An anticipated 12 - 15 week project timeline carried on for well over one year and costs escalated to well over 50% greater than the proposed budget. My recommendation. Stay away.

When we moved from our home to a condo I was concerned how are traditional furniture would fit in the new space. David Thompson with his expertise and design experience added contemporary furnishings and integrated both styles into a warm, welcoming and attractive look. I especially like his friendly, reassuring manner and have come to value his impeccable taste.

David is an extremely talented interior designer with the highest of professional standards. My husband and I contracted David for a complete renovation of our Chicago condo which included 2 bathrooms, floors, window treatments, and a complete kitchen upgrade that included cabinets and appliances. All the work was done on time and within budget. David was extremely flexible with his schedule, accommodating my schedule conflicts. I would recommend David to anyone, and look forward to working with him in the future.

David's design aesthetic is exquisite and his ability to juxtapose the dark, moody colors with some glitz and shine create a dramatic finish. David pays attention to every detail of a project, from start to finish, and manages the process seamlessly. It's not often that a designer can also be project manager and maintain the balance between the roles. He is fantastic!
