It goes without saying (although I will!) that Susan is a talented designer, but what I value most in working with Susan is the trust I have in her. When I decided to work with Susan it was at a very difficult time in my life and I was having trouble making decisions. When we had our first ‘official’ design meeting we talked about what I liked such as style and colors and what other things were important to me. I had some very sketchy ideas that she took and formed into my beautiful home. Not only is it a showstopper from the moment you walk in the door, but also still comfortably home. It is exactly what I wanted, although I didn’t know it. Her ability to make the best, most creative choices – from paint color, window coverings, furniture, artwork, etc. pulled together the things I love, into an entirely new look that I could not have possibly imagined. All this without much input from me. She would have photos of furniture or fabric samples for me to see to make choices and so many times (almost always) I defaulted to her making the decision, which ended up being my best decision. Susan did this all calmly and efficiently and delivered on time with a very tight deadline. She really listened and understood that there were some sentimental things that were important to me and she gracefully incorporated them into the new décor. Disruption of living space is stressful especially compiled with other life events, but Susan was able to make the process more than bearable – it was actually fun and exciting to see as the space as her design evolved. Plus she has some fantastic resources. Every one of the people she brought in to paint, carpet, build, do electrical, etc. were top notch and professional. Susan is also an amazing bargain hunter and carefully monitored my budget and kept within my means. She found unique vintage pieces to have reupholstered and refurbished to create affordable one of a kind custom items that look much more expensive than they are. I now have a stunning and unique home that I love. I look forward to our next project together!

She came highly recommended and quickly proved to be creative, efficient and inspired as well as being a pleasure to work with. We hired Susan to help design a remodel of our master bathroom. She was efficient, had great ideas and was sensitive to our budget constraints. Very responsive with comments via email and text. I would definitely use Susan again and highly recommend her.

I worked with Susan and her team over the course of 9 months to update an refresh my home. This included major redesigns of the master bedroom, living room, complete bathroom remodel and a moderate kitchen remodel. I am very happy with the result. She has a great process that includes listening to the client objectives, understanding their esthetic, and building a plan. One thing she does is to pick out a key piece for a room and build the design from that. In the case of my living room it was a beautiful rug and in the bedroom it was a vintage chandelier. This establishes a general color palate and overall vibe for the room. From there she works out all the soup to nuts details from furniture options to cabinet hardware and everything in between. She does a great job finding unique and interesting pieces as well as the more conventional items. This was my first time working with a designer and Susan made the process easy and enjoyable. She honored my opinions and offered suggestions (which I personally needed!) She also considers both form and function in her designs, making the spaces both beautiful and livable. Susan draws upon a team of skilled and professional contractors to carry out the work, all of which I would hire again. The cabinetry work I had done was exquisite. This project involved essentially all the trades - plumbing, painting, electrical, woodwork, and tile work. Not only was the work done well, but Susan did all the scheduling and coordination. One last note from my experience. The bedroom rug was not laying flat. Susan and her assistant tenaciously worked to sort this out which included trying 3 different rug pads. It did get fixed and they took care of it including working with the vendors to ship back the ineffective pads. I had a similar experience with the towel hook on the shower door, which was absurdly high when first installed. Susan worked with the vendor to get it sorted out. My point is that she will work till you are satisfied.

Susan did a great job in helping to redesign the main living area in our condo and re- do our powder room. She was a pleasure to work, the contractors she recommended were excellent and we are thrilled with the results.

Susan is a design wizard ! She was able to bring our apartment together in record time to create an inviting, exciting, comfortable, warm second home. She was willing to utilize furniture we had and also added important new pieces to bring it all together. This is a second home rental for us on the west coast. Our main residence is on the east coast. We were able to work together by phone and email to manage it all very quickly. Her taste and attention to detail are amazing. In addition, she orchestrated moving a very difficult art piece, received our furniture and had it unpacked and in place so we arrived to a fully operational home - without ever being there ! Susan and her staff of experts did it all !! Both my husband and I were so very pleased and grateful for her help - and WE LOVE THE RESULT.

Over the years we have done several rooms together.This year we redid the Master bedroom, bath, office and Guest Bathroom areas in my house that we didn't do on the last remodel. Plus the dining room was repainted and more art work was reframed .She is great about using pieces that I have and making them look entirely new and spectacular by reupholstering them and using great fabrics and colors. She still manages to have the tone of the room reflect the mood that I was looking for. She remodeled the Guest Bath completely from her design, materials and fixtures which turned out great. Her use of color is (I think) brilliant. Both my husband and I are totally pleased with the results and my husband is hard to please when it comes to change. Every night I look at our bedroom and feel happy and grateful the room is so peaceful and interesting at the same time.
