I LOVE my home! Thank-you so much Susan Chang! I recently downsized to a smaller home for just myself and my pup. The house is an open concept and I was just overwhelmed about the colors I should pick and how to perfectly match them. Susan was amazing. She came over several times and was so patient with me. She took the time to listen to my ideas and worked from there. I have to say I loved all of her ideas so much more than my own. She went thru each area of the house and put together the most beautiful color palette for each space. She picked out colors I would have never thought of. She hung in there with me thru out the project and assured me every step of the way that it would be perfect. It was! Along with the color design she helped me to arrange each space with the furnishings I already had to make each room/ space more efficient. Her help and kindness was invaluable to me. I recently had some smoke damage from a faulty propane fireplace and needed to repaint. It would have been an opportunity to change things up a bit but I so loved the original colors I repainted with them. I highly recommend Susan and I will certainly reach out to her for any upcoming projects. I’m not one to write a review on everything but I had to write this one!! Susan helped me select paint colors for a new house my husband and I were building. I came to her with an array of possible choices. Her initial approach was to ask me questions (always diplomatically) about what I liked about the colors I had chosen and how I wanted the various rooms to feel. Then she pulled out her fan deck. She had an uncanny gift for seeing how potential colors and the bare spaces might play off each other. She saw all this in an empty house with unpainted walls. At first, I was a little hesitant. The color palette she recommended was more bold and daring than the one I had envisioned. But she convinced me to go for it. My husband and I are thrilled, absolutely delighted, with how the colors of the house look and feel. She has a genius knack for finding just the right color for the space.

I worked with Susan to design an office space that was stripped to the studs. An environmental nonprofit organization, we wanted not only beautiful and functional space but one that reflected our values. Susan delivered, on time and under budget, and we get compliments every time we have visitors, even several years later. Susan designed a space that reflected our work flow, our interpersonal dynamics, our aesthetic senses, and elevated our image to clients and stakeholders to one that is professional and confident. She integrated all the details, down to custom designing a wall hanging made of pebble tiles, that tied our space together in a cohesive, extraordinary way. Susan is talented, thoughtful, respectful, mindful of budget, and delivers enormous value.

Susan Chang is an exceptional design consultant that I had the pleasure of working with in creating my Zen home in the mountains of Virginia. Her meticulous attention to detail, and intuitive sense in considering every aspect of the project ,made the space i call home a beautiful expression of harmony and peace. We had Susan help us choose colors for our office building renovation.
