We are a full service interior design firm that takes a hand on, collaborative approach in creating aesthetically appealing interiors that suit your personality and lifestyle. Consulting with an interior design firm is not about imposing ideas and personal taste onto a client. We work with you to create a personalized space that is uniquely yours. We help you create a warm and inviting home. Our attention to detail and client communication results in inspired and unexpected solutions. When designing we consider function, form and of course beauty. We have managed jobs from quaint neighborhood homes to multi-million dollar mansions. We love finding what is functional for our clients home and can work within their means. We work to create a personal relationship with our clients that makes them want to keep coming back to seek our design expertise. I had the pleasure of working directly with Michele of Something Special Interiors on a major home remodel project this past year. She was very professional throughout the whole project. Her communication is top notch which kept the job progress moving forward.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Michele Thelen and Something Special Interiors!! Michele took our 1992 home and turned it into a beautiful "new" home-completely updated and current. We had never worked with an interior designer and Michele made it so easy. She was professional, listened to everything we wanted, provided amazing ideas and was so easy to work with. We could NOT have completed this project without her! I highly recommend Michele to anyone interested in making their home beautiful! Thanks Michele for everything!!

I have had the privilege of working on many projects with Michele over the years. From large estate homes to simple remodel projects. Michel has a great eye for detail and really listens to her clients, in order to help them achieve the home of their dreams all while being considerate of their budget. Her ability to understand her client's needs and develop their ideas, is amazing. It is always a pleasure to work with her. Michele brings many qualities and imparts high value to any project. Michele, Something Special, was an invaluable resource to our new, vacation home construction. She guided us on absolutely every facet and detail of our home and it turned out beautiful. Michele also guided and worked closely with the contractor and all subs. She truly was the leader of the entire project. Michele listened to us and built her recommendations around our lifestyle and top priorities. The colors, furniture, accessories, fabrics are unique and very tasteful. Michele has a professional attitude and became a friend through the process. We highly recommend her!

We have worked with Michele for many years and would highly recommend her on all aspects of interior design. Our relationship begin with the building of our home some 15 years ago. She assisted us in the entire process and has continued to assist us on other projects, including the addition of a pool and pool house. She has always been very professional and responsive to our requests. Many of her suggestions and selections have been timeless as we've made few changes through the years, other than updates due to general wear. However, she stays very current on trends and has access to beautiful fabrics for furniture, window coverings and bedding. She will continue to be our "GO TO" Interior Design Professional as we greatly appreciate her conscientious and knowledgeable help through the years!!!

Having been in our home for over 14 years, we were in need of a professional to help us transition to a more up-to-date look with a modest budget. Michele has the capacity to vision what will make the biggest impact in the overall scheme, guiding us on where best to spend the money. Appointments were always kept and promt. Michele's ability to adapt to her clients' needs is remarkable as is her ability to work within budgetary constraints. Michele's design vision is stunning and she will find a way to incorporate existing pieces into the design. She encouraged my husband and I to put heated tile in the master bedroom. My husband was extremely hesitant at first due to cost and longer installation time but eventually decided to trust Michele's professional opinion. Now my husband can't stop telling everyone how amazing heated tile is on his bare feet! Michele has a warm personality and is a joy to work with on a project. I highly recommend her design services.

I hired Something Special to help with redecorating our living room, kitchen and family room. They were so helpful! They patiently guided me in making decisions and promptly followed through with what needed to be done. This was actually the first time we hired a professional to help us out. Occassionally, we kind of freaked about the changes we were making. We came to trust Something Speical and the awesome things they were guiding us through. They worked with our budget and the end result was outstanding! They are professional, personal and have a small army of outstanding professionals working with them in each area of expertise. Everyone worked well together. They are the best!

We had a great experience with Something Special Interiors! They helped us design and finish our main floor living room and sun rooms. We could not be happier with the way our rooms turned out. The customer service we received was excellent and we would recommend this design firm to anyone. We are looking forward to working with them on our next project!

Comentado: Could you please tell me the color of the kitchen cabinets?The cabinets are custom cabinetry done by Eurowood Cabinets, Inc. and were painted on-site with a custom color combination. We're so glad you love this kitchen as much as we do!
