Solace Interiors

I started out as an engineer working in the manufacturing industry. Life happened and an opportunity arose for me to dive into a decorating passion I had always had. I worked for a few years in the decor field and during that time completed my certification for Residential Decor at Algonquin College. My little family grew from three to five and I began teaching at Algonquin College in the same program, where I stayed there part-time for five years. Being a military “brat” and a trained engineer, I like order…that’s for certain. I also know the importance of a pretty space and how it contributes to a healthy lifestyle. My training has given me the ability to see how things should be laid out in a room. It’s that combination that makes my organizing and decorating style so well received. I stay current in the business by attending Interior Decorating conferences, being a member of the Canadian Decorating Association, the Ottawa Design Network, as well as being a certified Hunter Douglas Dealer. I have been fortunate to be in a position to give back to the community through three Extreme Makeover Kindness Editions and with my childrens’ elementary school
