Sarah is a Licensed Interior Designer (ID5928) in the State of Florida. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest University and received her Master of Interior Design degree from the nationally acclaimed Interior Design program at the University of Florida. As part of her graduate program, Sarah studied design at the Vicenza Institute of Architecture located in Vicenza, Italy. She is a former Adjunct Professor in the Interior Design Department at the University of Florida and currently serves as the President Elect for the North Florida chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Sarah’s wide range of experience includes both residential and commercial design projects, new construction, renovation, retail window design, bar/night club design, restaurant design, home staging, model & parade homes. In 2012, she was selected by the Council of Interior Design Accreditation to serve as a Site Visitor. Sarah possesses a contagious enthusiasm and vibrant energy that fuels her innovative and solution-driven approach. She thrives on new challenges and works closely with her clients to create spaces that reflect their individual lifestyle as well as the functional requirements of the space. In addition to Sarah Cain Design and her University work, Sarah is involved in many local charities, including Stop! Children's Cancer, The Kiera Grace Foundation and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Gainesville. NCIDQ #026455.

We love Sarah and her team! We felt our personalities blended well...they are energetic and fun to be around which makes them great to work with. We approached her firm based on the images in her online portfolio and we were very happy with the results. Every day we wake up in our home amazed that we live in such a place. She and her team took our already beautiful home up to a level we had dreamed about. We would give her five stars but there were some minor problems with some of the information that was provided which they quickly corrected when it was brought to their attention. Definitely not a reason to take a pass on her if you love the work she does and want to personal attention she gives to her clients. We plan to ask her to work with us again when we are ready to execute the kitchen phase of our interior upgrade. Thanks to Sarah, Emma, Morgan and Kristy for getting us to where we wanted to be!

We could not have been more pleased with Sarah! I have known her and followed her work for many years, and when we decided to renovate our home, she is the only one I considered helping us! She was so incredibly patient with us, and after throughly understanding our tastes and styles, helped us narrow down the myriad of choices to a few she knew we would love. We’ve used Sarah for three projects now. A complete renovation of our living areas (completed a couple of years ago), a bathroom renovation (currently underway), and an outdoor living space (recently finished). We wouldn’t use anyone else. Sarah is a great listener. She designs around what the clients want out of a space - how will it be used, how do you want to feel when you’re in it? And then she adjusts designs based on the feedback, often figuring out exactly why you don’t like something when you’re not clear yourself. Sarah’s group is very professional and responsive and her work is exceptional. Every space she touches in the house is amazing and brings us such joy! I can’t recommend Sarah highly enough.

I highly recommend working with Sarah. She is incredibly talented. She strived to make things look how I dreamt of them (not just what she liked or what she would choose for herself - instead she helped me choose things that I liked). She helped me make really big decisions and I am glad that I had her support to make sure I was making the right choices! She taught me a lot along the way, too; for example, she told me that I should go bold on interchangeable fixtures like the kitchen light because I can change it relatively easily, and go with less trendy things when it has to last longer like the countertop. One thing I especially loved was how she made sure that my house was going to be functional and not just look great. She even helped me with details like what to put in each cabinet and drawer in the kitchen. I am grateful to have worked with her every time I look around my kitchen and living room! Also, she is really well connected. I knew that the vendors and contractors were trustworthy and treating me well since I was Sarah's client. Finally and importantly: Aside from being an amazing designer, she is really friendly and fun to be around!!

Sarah's work ha transformed the inside of my house. Literally every person that enters comments on how incredible the colors, art and furniture look that Sarah helped me pick out. On top of that, Sarah is extremely easy to work with and is great and taking your personality to turn into a design. She is able to push you out of your comfort zone and make you realize that this is a designers profession and they can choose items that you never thought you would, but that you will grow to love. I can't recommend Sarah highly enough. She has gone out of her way to make my house an amazing place to be and to make me very happy.

She took the time to get to know each family member, including our Italian Greyhound, and made sure that we all were involved in the project. She made planning the details of the remodel fun. If I had use one word to describe my experience with this company it would be Style. Upon relocating to Gainesville in 2012 I contacted Sarah Cain Design to help turn my more or less empty condominium into a warm and friendly home for my son and myself. Not only was Sarah totally professional being respectful of budgets and deadlines, but she has an innate ability to figure out what your style is, the story you want to tell, and how you want to feel in your new space. It was a very fun experience, and I now have a fabulous space which I love. Sarah is extremely knowledgable, and a master of selecting just the right pieces for your space. Sarah Cain is the best in the business. She was recommended to me by the head of a local real estate company. She has an impeccable eye and flawless taste. She listens attentively to your preferences and instinctively looks for ways to work with what you already own. She works within a budget and prioritizes the purchases that will make the biggest difference. She is extremely creative and fast. She can walk through a room and, off the top of her head, suggest re-configurations or ways to freshen a room that make all the difference. We trust her judgment completely. She redesigned our family room, living room, and entry room and offered substantial advice on our dining room and refinished attic. Our home looks a million times better than it did before, and we only spent around $1300 for her time in total. Amazing! I cannot imagine a better designer or a better design experience. We plan to continue to use her as needs arise.

I knew of Sarah Cains skills from her work with Atlantic Design Inc., one of Gainesville's best builders. I had a listing that was a uniquely designed property of over 3,800 sf with some very large rooms that defied "Cookie Cutter" staging. The home had been listed for 8 months with plenty of showings, but no offers. Two weeks after Sarah was enlisted to stage the home we had a nearly full price offer. We closed six weeks later. My husband and I hired Sarah to stage our vacant home after we had tried to sell it with no staging and no luck the previous year. We asked Sarah to provide potential buyers with ideas of how each room of the home could be used (the house had one large living space and an office type room off of the kitchen; the layout was a bit awkward.) Sarah created a space that was BEAUTIFUL, even better than when we actually lived there! I was blown away. Sarah was professional, prompt, respectful, and affordable. She knew exactly what to do, and delivered an appealing product. We put our house on the market in June and had an offer just two months later. Emerald Ventures, Inc.

Emerald Ventures, Inc. built two homes to be featured in the 2013 Spring Parade of Homes. Parade homes need to WOW the crowds with the newest colors, innovations and styles. I sought out two local designers to help me accomplish this goal. Sarah was very excited to help out with our Madrid model. I was impressed with Sarah's energy and excitement about the process and selected features. She came prepared for each meeting and didn't mind rolling up her sleeves and staying late into the night to finish up the night before the parade. She has a background in new construction so she understood our limitations and timelines perfectly. I loved her suggestions and ideas. Thanks to Sarah and my other designer....our two homes were the hit of the Parade and we Wowed the crowds! I have already called Sarah to help me with my next project!
