The issues that led me to get a design plan from Sachi were: What colour do I paint my dining area that’s part of an L-shaped living/dining room? How do I make the living room a comfortable, inviting conversation space? How do I work my favourite traditional pieces of my mother’s into a more contemporary style? The detailed design plan that I received reflected my goals and style preferences perfectly. It gave me the confidence to start making significant changes, knowing that I am working towards a cohesive vision. I highly recommend Sachi. Vanessa and sachi designed my large scale kitchen reno in a century old home. We blended three separate rooms into one (kitchen, dining room and living room). It was my best decision ever to hire vanessa. I love the way she incoporated simple design, functionality, but also created something truly unique. My kitchen is so very much ME, and doesn't look like anyone else's kitchen. She paid special attention to the small details: the hardware, the alignment of the light pendants and more. Fantastic experience. I will be working with her again.

I used Sachi's service to do a makeover of a mud room. I find the trades people Sachi uses (carpenter, painter, electrician etc.) to be all very competent and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. Principle Vanessa is on site often checking on the quality of the various trades, really taking pride in her work and has keen eye for details. Really appreciate the outcome and the stress free process. Would highly recommend.

My living room hadn't been updated in years and I didn't know where to start. I asked Vanessa to help and she delivered. She gave me tips on how to improve the space and she suggested replacement pieces that were within my budget. She was very nice and took her time to get it right. Our house was getting old (built in 2001) and we wanted to update it throughout (“stage-it” without selling) without moving out or spending a lot. My husband and I are not really into interior design, so we hired SACHI. Having a third person who knew the right stores, and the colours, and to make suggestions, was a great help. Even to be a third opinion, when my husband and I disagreed! Renovating our home involved a commitment of time and involved making a lot of choices, but in the end, it was definitely worth it! We love the new paint colours, the spa-like bathroom, the large lounge couch, and the kitchen upgrades. Our house is much more sophisticated now and as such we actually enjoy spending time in our house and are not embarrassed to have friends over! I would definitely recommend hiring SACHI as Vanessa is great at helping you to make purchasing decisions and paint choices and in the end it will help you to save time on your renovation.

Vanessa is a professional. Vanessa worked with us to stage our house to get it ready for sale and refine our kitchen design after we moved. She is an excellent listener, has a good eye and great ideas.

Sachi offered inspired design advice to my husband and I when were in the early conception/design of our basement reno last year. Her ideas for zones in our multi-purpose room helped with furniture selection and placement and ultimately to a room that we are proud to count as part of our home. Vanessa is everything that one looks for in a designer. In addition to having a terrific innate sense of light, space, colour, texture and style, she works very hard to understand her clients budget, tastes, needs and sense of what makes a home. She then works with you to create a warm, beautiful environment in which to live. Vanessa helped us stage our house for sale recommending and then implementing relatively small subtle changes (neutral paint for some rooms, painting of kitchen cupboards, updated fixtures and door handles) that made a huge difference to the overall appearance and appeal of that house. Doubtless one of the reasons that it sold very quickly. She then helped us decorate our new home,which required a complete makeover. She worked tirelessly to develop the framework for a classic yet unique look that reflected our tastes. Guiding us in the choice of paint colours, furniture coverings, window treatments and in the acquisition of new furniture. She worked with tradespeople to design built-in bookshelves in the living room and cupboard doors in the master bedroom that instantly elevated the look and feel of our home. It is an older home and yet these additions look as if they were part of the original design. Vanessa works incredibly hard, giving her full attention to every detail, to deliver a beautiful home (within budget). Her painstaking work is remarkable, as if it were her own home. Yet she never forgets that the house should reflect your needs and taste. I think one of the biggest compliments paid her is the number of people who have remarked that the style of our house is such a complete reflection of my personal style.
