I'm a wife, mother of three crazy boys and a lover of all things design. After completing my Bachelors Degree in interior design, I worked in commercial design for several years until a move from Ohio to Virginia led me into the model home industry which I worked in for 5 years. During that time, I was given creative license while working with varied budgets which became an important stepping stone to shaping my love and knowledge of design. I decided in 2016 to officially open Ruth Truman Interiors. I love working with clients to help them create a space that they love and speaks to them. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and discovering how we can make your space inspiring, together.

Ruth is fantastic! She has great style and had a knack for pointing my style in the right direction. She took lots of time to learn what we wanted and then helped us 'see' what it could look like in the end. She was able to tell us what to spend the extra money on and where we could save money and still look fabulous. Having Ruth make our curtains was one of the best decisions we made. She does such amazing work and they really make the room. We constantly get compliments on our home and quite honestly at times I still just sit back and enjoy looking at it myself.

Ruth decorated 6 rooms in our house over a year or so. Her work has transformed our home from plain and simple to comfortably elegant. We're delighted with the results and receive frequent compliments. Ruth has a wonderful eye for colors which she used to create a beautiful cohesiveness as the rooms flow naturally from one to the other. She also provided us unexpected options on textures, materials and patterns which all turned out wonderfully. Ruth was a delight to work with. Ruth went above and beyond to furnish my house with design tips and one of a kind custom window treatments. She took her time to really understand my style and ultimate vision. From consult to finished product I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would recommend Ruth for all your design needs and have suggested her to anyone who has asked where I got all of my beautiful curtains. She is truly the best!

I really loved working with Ruth. She helped me to pick paint colors, to update my drapery (and she did the sewing), and to design a new built in cabinet for our TV in our family room. She was very good at listening to what I like and don't like and was just great at helping me brainstorm with some new ideas. She has also helped me to find some furniture so that everything in my living room and dining room now coordinates really well.

I was completely overwhelmed when trying to pick paint colors for our new house. I contacted Ruth and she came over and spent time going over paint swatches with me and recommending colors that would complement each other as well as the furnishings that I already had. Her eye for colors is phenomenal and she was spot on in her recommendations for our home.
